I was sick, and I took a nap to get better. Personally, I thought PRX would 2-0, but I checked and we are in map 3 (3-1) rn and it looks quite rough. Even if G2 lose they passed my general expectations, I didn't think they were bad, but I believed that PRX wouldn't drop any maps. I am forwarding a minor apology to G2, as I thought G2 would just head to the lower brackets.
FPX were pushing their potentials during their games in swiss. Unless EDG is able to figure something out, its tough to tell. Though EDG bombing out of Madrid because of LOUD might be a good motivator for something good.
tbf TH played a DRG that looked pretty lost, DRG's second game looked way better in comparison. Although I feel like TH have good odds if they are ready to play scrappy with FPX (+ if they work on those numbers advantage throws)
If Heretics want a good chance, they should be ready to play scrappy against FPX, the rounds could get chaotic and FPX are used to that.
It's nice that It's in a good timezone for me. The crowd is not that knowledgeable about the other teams which is understandable, and the bias to the home crowd is expected. Swiss is giving us some good games which is nice, and I can't wait for Playoffs.
Popularity-wise, maybe not the strongest but the fact that its placed in Shanghai is good for the development of CN interest in Valorant (+ also CN teams can scrim international teams which is a good benchmark testing for them).
Even if CN don't do too much, this event does help them overall.
I'm pretty sure Biank is back to IGL'ing until they can find a competent IGL although that would take a while.
Will Champions stick to the normal 4 groups of 4, or go for a 16 man swiss stage?
Matches w/ Swiss Stage: 33 (66-99 maps played)
Matches w/ Normal GS: 20 (40-60 maps played)
It seems pretty tiring with the amount of maps you'll have to play so I'll assume they'll just stick to normal GS unless they do the thing at Worlds where elimination and advancement matches are Bo3 and any others are just Bo1.
100T are looking pretty scary going into the event
Rank the Shanghai teams from 1-12.
I'm curious for all of your predictions going into the event, since I can't make a clear judgement for the whole thing.
Teams going to the event for the people who might forget:

100T
LEV
FPX
EDG
DRG
T1
GENG
PRX
FNC
FUT
TH
better start taking out loans buddy
well since Shanghai will have 12 teams i just assumed first seeds get a bye to playoffs and the remainder 8 do a swiss stage
I don't see how EDG wins this like honestly in terms of skill and overall team-play, LOUD are just superior in every way (i'm starting to lose hope every hour that i think about this match)
i had a frightening dream where Sadhaak drops 120 on two maps against EDG 13-0 and 13-0 and started to hit the griddy in front of the crowd... terrifying...
itd be funny if FPX win by BerLIN doubling down on his ANGE1 cosplay and doing it so hard he drops 35 kills on last map
he channels the full spirit and soul of ANGE1 and drops 80 kills in the whole match (in my dreams)
or he just full sends it down mid or smt and drops like 3 kills a map idk its a 50/50 for me
let him cook, be funny if some of this was true
Source: it came to me in a dream
id go on my knees for china
it was delicious i couldnt resist
let me cook
