I just want to start by stating how I'm somewhat disappointed that there will be a lack of new matchups in this act of the tournament. If we ignore the invited teams and the already-established teams from last act (EDG, BLG, FPX, ASE, TYLOO), we will see that the only "new" teams that created intrigue were WBG, TE, and of course, RA. There were a total of 8 individual teams that played in the final stage of the first act. Which teams managed to bypass the play-ins and groups? EDG, FPX, TE, and RA. Which teams are getting qualified from play-ins? BLG, ASE, and two unknown teams. I just want to point out how if TYLOO wins this series against TBD (which they might very well do as so), the only new team we'll be seeing in playoffs will be one of: RNG, JDG, or NIP. Of course, I'm probably asking for too much, but I feel like watching these teams play the same opponents over and over is kind of... you know...

tldr: TYLOO might make playoffs by winning this 2-0.

Even if they make it TYLOO have got to be the weakest team in groups. They have some incredible players on paper but too many of them like to play more passively which makes their firepower suffer. In my eyes if they want to become a contender, a good first step would be to commit to either ICEKING or Luok1ng and then bring in a more consistent aimer.

Your right, but I was talking about how the main stage of this act will include 7/8 of the same teams as the last act if TYLOO makes it.

Well, they did indeed win 2-0, so uh, great I guess.

Because there are few outstanding players at this stage, especially nice controllers or sentinels in China. Act2 follows act1 so tightly, for which it seems impossible for the new team to find competitive players in China. That's why it is difficult to find new teams. VCT CN needs at least 2 or 3 years to cultivate enough outstanding players to create diversity. RA is an exception because they win the contract of stew against DRX for which it quickly grow up to have the ability to fight against EDG. What's more, Tyloo and RA are the topest clubs of CSGO in China. So they have enough experience to run the fps club. Now many big company like Topsport and Lining try to invest more money on Valorant in China, which means more talented players will be excavated in China. But to be honest, in 2023, it is really hard to find some new team to threaten top6 in China.

Wow. You're right, it makes sense! I still have lots to learn about the CN scene, and you've helped out a lot by providing an excellent explaination to my frustrations. This is one of the most insightful comments I've read on this website. Thank you so much Yukel!

Happy to help! Actually CN also needs igl very much. After ASE has their last igl YHchen back, the whole team looks totally different from ACT 1. CN has too much outstanding duelist players like kk, whzy, life, fengf, and lysoar. Now stew, autumn and minimise also come to China to play duelist. Initiator we got Nobody, AAAAY and Biank. Actually nice igl, controllers and sentinels are what we need most. We just have Chichoo, Haodong, Yosemite and Abo who have the experience internationally.

Tyloo should win. If they don't it's a huge choke imo.
