Why he getting downvotes everytime there better be a good reason

Twisten's passing hit me a great deal heavier than DaveeyS, maybe due to how little I watched the Americas
great way to start a tweet about a death 👍
where it's posted doesn't really matter and Twitter is used for news all the time.
I'm pointing out that his entire job and career is based off him writing properly and having good writing etiquette and he proceeded to write something that bad. You would think considering it's his entire job he would know better, especially after he has publicly criticized others for their writing standards.
bro its like you expect him to be formal, prim and proper for the rest of his life, this article is evidence that he can balance both "writing properly" : https://www.vlr.gg/270744/kr-announce-daveeys-passing
and writing as himself. which is on twitter. no one expects their twitter to more popular than the articles they write (at least for this site). he has publicly critiqued, but never has it been an official article that interferes with his job. this is all outside of that space.
I honestly think you're baiting at this point considering the points of "you expect him to be formal, prim and proper for the rest of his life" and "no one expects their twitter to more popular than the articles they write" as well as "he has publicly critiqued, but never has it been an official article that interferes with his job"
let me deconstruct this for you and then /closed unless you want to take what I'm saying completely out of context again
you expect him to be formal, prim and proper for the rest of his life
If you are trained as a plumber, I expect you to know how to fix pipes. if you're trained as a "journalist", I expect you to know how to write.
no one expects their twitter to more popular than the articles they write
this site is dead compared to Twitter and how much attention leaks and news gets on there. you have no clue what you are talking about.
he has publicly critiqued, but never has it been an official article that interferes with his job
not the point I made at all, completely skewed my point. The point was that he should know how to write in a non-offensive matter when addressing situations like this considering his job is writing, and him criticizing others while sending out tweets with that low of a standard is gross to me. nothing to do with "an official article that interferes with his job" whatever the fuck you mean.
/closed please stop farming downvotes
If you are trained as a plumber, I expect you to know how to fix pipes.
A plumber does not go out fixing pipes when he's on a vacation in the Bahamas (twitter). what is your point?
this site is dead compared to Twitter and how much attention leaks and news gets on there. you have no clue what you are talking about.
that depends on the viewership your tweets gain, which, according to his twitter, is minimal compared to this site. I would expect him to act "better" and clean his act up if he were to gain an influx of followers. since people can take things out of context, and more casual eyes are on you. But bottom line: you cherry-picked and left out the full tweet because you were trying to paint a narrative. just as i explained here. I would expect him to be careful from now on.
Man you really lack empathy if you can't understand why it's insensitive and out of touch. He doesn't need to be "proper, formal, prim" for the rest of his life. It's called common sense. it's like saying your mom died, and your grandmother died, but then just brush it off and say, Oh well I wasn't close to my mom any way"
See how dumb that sounds? Bro needs some empathy and have tact with what he writes if he doesn't wanna get called out.
I get where you're coming from. I did acknowledge that his response wasn't ideal. But sometimes, things get blown out of proportion. Maybe reach out to him directly if you feel he owes an apology. I'm just saying, we've debated this enough.
To reiterate, I don't think he was implying something like 'Oh well, I wasn't close to my mom anyway.' We might be reading too much into it. you're talking about empathy, shouldn't we extend a bit of understanding his way? Maybe he didn't express himself well, but that doesn't mean he meant it in a malicious way. Can we give him the benefit of the doubt?
