what is the cost of Love?

to women, heartbreak becomes an opportunity, to men in society, heartbreak is a circumstance.

Women often hold grudges and we are taught in society that its ok for them to hold those grudges. But when a man holds a grudge from the pain of betrayal. We are often told we are in the wrong, when women are not.

The biggest sting from a breakup isnt the fact that theyve dated another guy as soon as possible from you. it is when they explicitly show how apathetic they are to the man and his situation.

Apathy fuckin kills man, even more so than hate. because with even hate, there is a shred of love in there somewhere, but there is no love for the person who cannot even feel to begin with.

We are in a world today where man is told to not focus on the world of romance, man is to develop one's self and one's self only, for your sake, for your sanity, because it embraces individualism to the extent of no longer carrying a burden of others. Weightless. We are taught to be Weightless today, and strip ourselves of burden. But with burden, comes strength and growth and responsibility. Something society has completely demonized to the point where if a relationship has even one ounce of weight to it, it is goodbye.

But 200 years ago. There was a balance in working on the self, not for one's sake only, but for everyone's sake.

We are often told in society man craves for responsibility. and yet, There is no greater responsibility than the weight of love, and to not betray that love.

But today, we are ALSO told, that love has no weight anymore, that, to ignore love, and not even pursue it, for it is deemed as a folly concept.

Romeo and Juliet was very much a real story to many people for hundreds of years. but today, it is a fairy tale in the sense that, our culture has lost the elements that our ancestors had.

Romeo and Juliet was a very relatable story to many many many young folk for hundreds of years. But today, there is nothing to relate to with that story and today's youth.

The love we have today is bound in chains by money, status, narcissism, and simply selfishness.

I think a lot of the death of love has to do with society being secular, and being economically driven.

the pursuit of bettering life through the power of the economy has in a sense, also shot itself in the foot.

---

I hope this provides some solace to all the heartbroken people out there.
