Today, we are parting ways with @drakenCSGO as we move towards the next stage of #VCT.

We would like to thank William for all of his hard work, dedication and the great moments we had during his time with Guild. We wish him all the best in the future.

After a long time at the top of global CS:GO, draken switched to Valorant and quickly found his place in bonk, a Swedish squad. They were then signed by Guild in October just in time for First Strike qualifiers, placing extremely close to the Main Event in their attempts.

VCT's kickoff was a turning point for the squad as they grew into one of Europe's best, qualifying for Stage 1: Masters, an event they finished in the top four. In Stage 2 they qualified for the EMEA Challengers Playoffs by defeating Alliance and Guild. They stumbled two games away from Reykjavik, losing to Oxygen in the Group B decider and leaving the tournament before they could reach the playoffs.

Although draken wasn't always present at the top of match scoreboards, his Omen and Sova play have proved to be a stronghold for the team. In the past 90 days of games, draken has largely kept an ACS of over 200 and a positive K:D ratio. He'll now be taking a step back during the next two months to focus on "friends & family to reload [his] batteries and be prepared for the next journey."

Stage 3 of the Champions Tour resumes in just over 2 weeks, on June 28. The new format allows for invited teams directly into the Closed Qualifier, played from June 30, based on previous VCT performance, a spot Guild may be a contender for based on their Stage 2: EMEA Challengers Playoffs presence.
