FPX and XSET both didnt call the bug out.
Riot called the remake cuz of the bug.
XSET agreed to remake and play, instead of just not replaying and taking the loss.
I feel especially cuz its a 1 million dollar tournament, replaying for the business is fair. Most orgs would accept the replay.
Its fkn bs that riot cant fix these bugs and that the bug had to be caught by an observer to have something done about it.

I don't think you can fault someone for taking advantage of a system like this. It's in the rules that everyone agrees to by competing, and XSET wasn't the one who initiated it. I don't think I could honestly tell a group of players that they shouldn't take an arguably deserved second chance at winning the biggest tournament they've ever competed in.
I don't get this point, why wouldn't XSET want to replay the round when they are playing in the biggest tournament of the year and it came out they lost because of false information given out because of a bug. Rewatching the round, you can clearly see Dephh thought there was a player in heaven and that put AYRIN and Zekken in a 2v2 against Ange1 and Shao, and if Dephh knew that there was nobody heaven and he didn't have to watch it he would have been in perfect position to trade out AYRIN's death, then possibly get traded then that kill gets traded by Zekken peeking from main. I bet if FPX was in the same situation they would have replayed
idk. i honestly don't know what I think about this whole situation. but there might be more... riot is selecting orgs for franchise. XSET wouldn't want to go against riot on something big like champions i believe.
(idk if riot already close the orgs on NA. from what I've heard, BR was still open for grabs, but considering that the announcement should happen soon, riot may have selected)
Basically a turret bug thats been in the game for 2 years fcked up XSETs 24th round for OT since it shot heaven and i think ayren (EDIT MB it was dephh who held heaven but u get the picture) held heaven after that and they were at 3v2 to secure the round.

Riot ruled the bug out and they replayed the round all over, Xset secures the round for OT after the replay but FPX brought it back and took the series OT while clowning on Xset and calling them sore losers while Xset is trying to explain that Riot made the decision and not them. Basically a shitshow.
I think xset has the normal reaction and decision that teams would make in that situation. i mean, riot, a higher up and literally the company organizing everything is telling you to do something, not to mention you get a second chance in the biggest event of the year. anyone would take that. xset never asked first, they only accepted after being presented the choice by riot. i think the bug is stupid and that it happens all the time (which it shouldn't) but that's just how it is. if you replay this round you uncover like 50 instances in international events where other bugs happened that all of a sudden qualify for replay. so I don't think it should've been replayed, but it is SO unfortunate that it happened at 11-12 for them.
also fpx didn't know that xset didn't ask for the replay and that riot initiated it. so maybe their tweets are not as respectful, but it is literally past midnight there, they're exhausted, finally done playing after hours and were relaxed/celebrating. their hard work pays off for this win and want to prepare for next do-or-die match. then suddenly being told that they still have a chance of being eliminated and they have to play right then. especially over a dumb bug that shouldn't have happened, I would be so upset and anxious too.
both are not good positions to be in. we don't even know what would've happened if the turret didn't bug. fpx still had a chance of winning. or xset could've won in ot. but this is an international tournament, there are no "what ifs" random and stupid shit happens all the time and you just accept the outcome and move on. it is neither of the team's faults, especially xset as people are heavily blaming them right now. i think this is a very big mistake from riot (first the bug, then the decision to remake).
