Sim, aumentar vagas > redistribuir

posted about 2 years ago

You just poorly took the new CS major format that leaked yesterday but made it worst.

The real problem is the number of slots.

Just keep the current slots we have and add 8 more to fill 24 teams

The best format would be:

NA: 4 SLOTS = 2 direct slots + 1 LCQ + 1 LCQ slot from the 8 additional I suggested
EMEA: 6 SLOTS = 2 direct slots + 2 direct from the 8 additional I suggested + 1 LCQ slot + 1 LCQ slot from the 8 additional I suggested
BR/LATAM: how it already is
APAC: how it already is
We end up with 20 slots to Champs
Through seeding, make a international tournament to qualify the other 4, which in the end will have the worst seeding on the major groups stage.

So the pros can stream before/after the games, depending on their audience

My guess is until Feb. 1st they will annouce it. AFAIK, they're all already on LOUD gaming house and sacy even tweeted something that suggested about the announcement video here: https://twitter.com/sacylol/status/1486501034767826956

So, how would you fix this?

1 - Since (we don't need to be biased here) KRU made it to the top 4, their region earned those slots;
2 - But the rest of their region is bad, top 2 or 3 would struggle against T2 BR teams;
Would you give 1 slot to Brazil, 1 to LATAM and 1 through LCQ but only with LATAM teams, which in the end will do worst that BR? Would you keep the way it is? Would you just straight take out a slot from the region that reached top 4 in the only major we had so far? Make LCQ tournament against regions?

posted about 2 years ago

RIOT is a multibillionaire company, you can't be serious

posted about 2 years ago

It should be 24 teams, with the rest of the 8 slots distributed at least 1 to NA and 3 to EMEA, tbh. AT LEAST.

posted about 2 years ago

For the competitive scene, it could be, but there's a huge discussion over it, since Brazil has better structure and better pay than the rest of the region and other points. We are in LATAM, but we don't speak Spanish and we were colonized by Portugal instead of Spain ;P

posted about 2 years ago

So, again, you're trying to shit on Brazil because you have your own bias, but you're avoinding the fact LATAM is worst than us, so it's easier to say we don't deserve 3 spots than just saying we have those 3 because the rest of the region is bad.

posted about 2 years ago

It's 1 for BR, 2 for the LCQ that includes the whole LATAM.

So, in the end all you're trying to say is "LATAM sucks since no team other than KRU will qualify in the LCQ so there's 2 free slots to BR" without saying the rest of LATAM is worst than Brazil.

But I get your narrative, it's easier to point fingers and make the "Brazil sucks and shouldn't get slots, Bron71l sucks hahahah" posts, since they will get you the funny imaginary points on the internet.

posted about 2 years ago

and there's no such thing as "3 slots to half of the world" since we all know, by the end of the day, EMEA is just EU+CIS+TR

24 teams and make a system like the PGL Stockholm Major, using the circuit points + divisions based on the region performance last champions and make the stage system

It's not that hard

Asia has no tradition on FPS esport, that's a fact. I'm not saying everyone suck, but the history isn't there, just that.
And xenophobia is because my whole country is not a giant slum how our friend is trying to paint, I don't know what you got from that?

posted about 2 years ago

I don't know, man. CS had the Stockholm major and it feature 24 teams. The format was different, ok, and it had more stages, but I don't know why they don't do something similar

posted about 2 years ago

Asia also has no tradition. And I don't live in a slum but nice xenophobia right there, mate.

posted about 2 years ago

Oh, I forgot about the huge tradition the mighty AUSTRALIA has on any fps game lmao Renegades couldn't even pass through the 1st stage on last CS:GO major

posted about 2 years ago

This is called tradition on FPS game. You should respect that. EMEA should get 6 spots instead.

Perhaps this explains why the player Michael "dapr" Gulino declared the following sentence: 'If people knew what happened in Berlin, they would be disgusted!'. All Sentinels fans were shocked and saddened by the defeat in the match. Should not! What is exposed below is the first hand news that is being investigated by radio and newspapers across North America and some foreigners, more specifically 'The Guardian' and 'Gazzeta dello Sport' and should be out in the media soon, as soon as the evidence is gathered and confirms the facts.

Proven Fact: Sentinels SOLD the game to Riot Games. The players were notified, at 7:00 am on December 6th (the day of the match), in a meeting involving Mr. Nicolo Laurent (the only time the CEO of Riot Games attended a Champions lecture), businessman Dietrich Mateschitz (co-founder of one of the competition's sponsors), secretary Emma Roids, Mr. Seymour Cox (current president of the German Esports Confederation), Mr. Wayne Kerr (Riot representative) and Mr. Ian Alexander Ang Zheng Wei , representative of sponsor Secretlab. Reserve players remained in isolation, in their rooms or in the hotel lobby.

At first very upset, the players refused to give up the result. Acceptance came through the full payment of prizes: US$700,000.00 for each player, plus a bonus of US$400,000 for the entire technical committee, through one of the companies involved.

Even so, the player Jared "zombs" Gitlin refused to play, but changed his mind soon after a lengthy meeting with the coach, where they received a call from a Twitch representative who threatened to withdraw his newly renewed and one of the company's biggest sponsorships..

Thus, it was agreed that the Iceland Masters champion would be eliminated in a harsh 2-1 by KRÜ-Esports, but the players' apathy meant that the Latin team - which absolutely did not participate in this negotiation - won in two rival failures . Mr. Brandon Beck, co-founder of Riot, US citizen, applauded the collaboration of the NA team, as the world championship needs a balance between the biggest teams in the world, and Sentinels is already an international LAN champion. Mr. Ian Alexander Ang Zheng Wei also assured that the North American team would have its way facilitated to conquer the next Champions in Brazil and to host the 2023 Champions.

Pass on this information to show the world the disgust that surrounds the world of sports, starting with the disgust of the Sentinels coach.

sacy was the core of the victorious era of VKS during the first quarter of 2021
Even tho to a lower degree, gaabx and xand were the core of their teams during the first quarter of 2021 as well, also some T2/T3 team had their star Jett too
Double duelist was actually the main formation of Gamelanders during the time they won everything on Year 1
Viper was a content creation agent before Riot gave her the importance she has now, so being a content creation agent actually explains why NA used her first lmao

All those points I listed were before Masters Iceland

The problem is we all know BR scene in general is stronger... Yes, KRU > BR teams if you take Champs as parameter but the rest of the teams are weaker than the top BR teams... Look how the SA LCQ went... semi finals with 3 out of 4 teams being BR and Furia 3-0'd Australs
