I think teams would rather win one then not win at all.
Difference in prestige between masters and champs is not even that big anyways.

Also if Sentinels win madrid they will almost be guaranteed a spot in champs based off of points.

Overwatch killed EU with franchising.
CS there has been a little rivalry at points, but historically eu had always dominated.
LoL both regions are not competing for titles, there is a small rivalry but CN vs KR is the big one.

There is a NA vs EU rivalry in rocket league only issue is that most of the players are very young so its kinda odd to root against them.

The rivalries get bigger and louder when both regions are the ones competing for titles, NA & EMEA have won 8/9 valorant events.

Honestly it just comes down to map pool.
KC vs SEN have a very overlapping map pools, however sentinels are just stronger on those maps.
TH VS SEN both teams have more advantageous picks over one another.

Honestly not sure who would win in a TH vs KC rematch.
Definitely feels like KC were riding the momentum of beating fnc.

posted 1 week ago

It's pretty big in most esports.
Valorant is just the first time both regions have been competitive for a long time.
Normally one region falls off (for 1 reason or another).

Navi been saving for years.
They got them long term bonds.

posted 1 week ago

what a match damn

ok but why arent they shuffling the picks on stage

posted 1 week ago

Give me:
SEN VS EDG
KC VS GENG

FPX VS TH
PRX VS LOUD

posted 1 week ago

What a series.

posted 1 week ago

did you watch geng vs loud? (outside of the first map)

posted 1 week ago

Its pretty good. Gekko is arguably better here though.

I think the big tipping point of the match will be how sen approach heretics A defense.

posted 1 week ago

Blame riot for pushing the biggest off//season patch at the very end of the off//season.

posted 1 week ago

Fun watch, incredible aim.
However, both teams are sloppy by the fact every round regardless of economy/man advantages is somehow close.

posted 1 week ago

That was more than just aim diff.

Loud do not look organised.

posted 2 weeks ago

That is disrespectful to faker.
By the time he was karons age... faker had won 3 worlds already.

Faker is truly a once in a life time player across all esports.

wow

posted 2 weeks ago

Yeah the sentinel-less comp just promotes contact plays which just ends up in straight up gun fights for both sides.

posted 2 weeks ago

This map might be the worst one to watch.

Just gun fights happening all over the map simultaneously, making it incredible hard to observe.

posted 2 weeks ago

Ok yeah, it did seem that Less was not aware that it could be defused from that angle.
However Karon did still correctly anticipate the fact Less would go for a reposition

posted 2 weeks ago

More like Karon just read Less very well

posted 2 weeks ago

EDG vs PRX , asia is saved.

posted 2 weeks ago

hell yeah brother

FPX comms

All good.

posted 2 weeks ago

No because he wasn't guaranteed to play anymore.

He was never going to get out of KangKang's shadow.
And smoggy played his role better then he did.

It was better for his career to step out of edg and forge his own path.

Warra consequences

posted 2 weeks ago

Ok.
That is a good bait.
However there are too many threads about it... so someone here is stupid enough to believe he's actually talking about "yay" in the tweet.

posted 2 weeks ago

Where is Skrossi disrespecting yay?
Link me it.

posted 2 weeks ago

Of course the stats are going to be skewed when we have a format as silly as kickoff.
The point is what Tenz is doing on "entries" isn't revolutionary.

I think where Tenz is getting the most value is on the retakes/posts and his defence side anchoring/positioning.
He's very effective in creating favourable retake scenarios, getting a man advantage and regrouping for a retake. Just watch his sunset for that.

Mako's omen on attack at vct pacific kickoff:

Rounds: 39

Surprisingly, DFM won two maps this whole year, both against korean teams.
One versus GEN.G, one versus T1.
https://www.vlr.gg/184465/gen-g-vs-detonation-focusme-champions-tour-2023-pacific-league-w2
https://www.vlr.gg/184482/t1-vs-detonation-focusme-champions-tour-2023-pacific-league-w6

Feel free to have another guess.

posted 2 weeks ago

These are kinda more bizarre stats/facts rather than general knowledge.

Chamber was never played in the EMEA regular season.
DFM only took maps off korean teams.
Yay won more clutches than seoldam

posted 2 weeks ago

Because it creates a sense of urgency and importance.

posted 2 weeks ago

Could definitely look into spanish t2: Pa1ka / FacePalm look very promising

Ichiro could also be a good shout, I remember he was performing well in CNval.

or some more out there picks like jamter (who is natural initiator) / rexxtoned (would be cool to see him get a big opportunity)

posted 2 weeks ago

Yeah i misread it.
Thought stage 1 was intra, stage 2 cross.
But its the other way around

posted 2 weeks ago

im stupid

posted 2 weeks ago

Yes, I think so.
NACS is in a better position then where it was a year ago.
Although the top of NACS is at an all time low.

There is a lot more salaried teams and decent regional teams that is important to the regions development.
The likes of nouns/nrg/pa/elevate/m80/boss/wildcard are providing better competition domestically.

NACS just needs the top teams to make that 1 correct roster moves that can propel the teams forward.
M80 for example got really unlucky with the timing of Mankz stepping down, and were forced to play kato/rmr with dephh. (dephh actually did alright considering the circumstances)
With a proper eu meta igl they probably would've made the major. (they almost made it with dephh)

Revived in what context?
Pro play? Casual?

posted 2 weeks ago

I would say paper rex is up there aswell.

posted 3 weeks ago

I honestly think pancada just rides his contract out at sentinels.
Contract ends at the end of the season.
It's unlikely Brazilian orgs could match the pay he gets on sentinels.
Joining a team like furia would most likely just lower his market value.

Or he could wait for 2025.
More potential opportunities.
More time to practise and get integrated.

posted 3 weeks ago

I've watched a few games here and there, that westside guy looks incredible, very good mechanics.

I truly believe you could built a VCT level polish roster. So much talent.

posted 3 weeks ago

These are solid signings in this current market.
Both players with decent experience and i could see them easily fitting into that c9 roster.

Who else would you want them to get?

posted 3 weeks ago

Take a shot every time retla joins Bleed

posted 3 weeks ago

It's probably just timing/luck based.
I did bump the post a few times with more information aswell.
Most of the time when a post is not in the side bar it just fades away.

If you are interested in seeing some gameplay from the team:

This is a link to the Grand finals of MVT 2: Winter and the final map of ascent in "The Imperials" vs Kobolds

(this was streamed on December the 8th)

Or some general highlights from the Mongolian pro scene:

posted 3 weeks ago

Yeah its awesome to see.
Also I believe the region/team may be eligible to compete in HK/TW, which now provides Mongolia a viable root and pathway to VCT.

posted 3 weeks ago

A big organisation in the emerging Mongolian esports scene has announced their entrance to Valorant with the signing of "The Imperials".
The roster consists of the core of Shugden Business who had success winning the "MVT One: Fall"

The roster:
consz (duelist)
mnfear (Initiator + igl)
cinjvv (Sentinel)
onenineteen (Controller)
skyisblue (flex)

They will be playing at the "MESA MVT2 : Finals" in under a weeks time.

EDIT:
https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=803942165098743&set=a.629760172516944
I have discovered some information that the team may have qualified to the HK/TW promotion series due to them progressing through riot's premier system.
