lol, but actually it is every gaming company and every gaming journalist outlet, but i was more focused on what they did for gaming and how their games are
Riot Games is what MCU wanted to be for the superhero genre.
The success riot has in the gaming industry is not comparable to any other company.
It is because they focus on one thing that many gaming companies forget, people love mechanics later on but they get attracted to the design, lore, and personality of the character first, sure riot has copied every game but the originality they bring is in the character department, the best example is people still play Asol in LOL, even though he is literally useless until you have 1000 hours on that champ.
Also, riot somehow knows to create the best cinematics and music for gaming in general, I still can remember watching legends never die for the first time and thinking this is an MV for a movie and getting my mind blown that this was for a game, they made people care about a k-pop group which did not even exist.
Riot truly deserves kudos for being such an awesome company, no matter how shitty they can be sometimes but when they are good they are nigh unbeatable.
