biggest unrepresented region + probably want apac focus

kr has pacific league, na had champs, br had lock-in, jp had masters, and emea had every other event. cn already has an event next year.

only major unrepresented regions are sea and latam and they had 2 americas events last year

posted 6 months ago

he's second best through the whole season in all leagues only behind leo
and leo is leo

yeah mixed it up with other buyouts edited

bleed paid sscary 28k a month and offered 1 mil buyouts I don't think they care lol

posted 6 months ago

cause bleed is known to hand out bigger bags lol
also their roster is probably better if they can find a good juicy replacement

yeah he should have at least had his own article, even if its one sentence. one of them said they discussed it and said it was too late but i think better late than never. an article about the community reaction to his passing wouldn't feel late either too.

it makes me really mad since they put up an article with a picture of demon1 and a jojo character and a tier 3 na roster getting dropped the same day. not putting up an article about probably the biggest news of the year is embarrassing since this is supposed to be the hub for valorant esports. I know its a sensitive topic but if they don't post about it then we get less awareness about mental health and we might have another situation like him.

posted 9 months ago

they did this just didn't get any traction
https://twitter.com/ValorantEsports/status/1667723723900878848

what's kinda cringe is the fact that this site didn't do shit except slap one sentence about it in the middle of a bunch of small roster changes

posted 9 months ago

really don't see how you guys couldn't have just thrown up an article with the tweet and a statement saying he passed with more to come at the end like you do with some roster change announcements

posted 9 months ago

wouldn't even mind if they just took this and put it on the front page with no credit, better than just one line in the news only missed section

will add

Since vlr.gg wants to write a whole article about demon1 going to japan and put twisten's passing in the news you may have missed section, I decided to write my own article about it.

On June 7th, 2023, Team Vitality announced in a tweet that Karel "Twisten" AÅ¡enbrener passed away the night before at the age of 19.

https://twitter.com/TeamVitality/status/1666407191664816129

In a statement from his mother on Facebook, she revealed his passing was caused by his struggles with depression, which Twisten announced after LOCK-IN . The full statement can be read in English here: https://twitter.com/xnapycz/status/1667128310487302145?s=20

Twisten began his Valorant career at the tail end of 2020, playing for teams like eSuba and Entropiq. After joining BIG in October of 2021, he was able to make a name for himself as BIG qualified for both 2022 splits of EMEA Challengers. After the formation of the Valorant franchised leagues at the end of 2022, he joined Team Vitality for LOCK-IN and VCT EMEA. He helped lead Vitality to the playoffs of VCT EMEA, where they finished in 5th-6th place.

As a member of the Valorant community, he was best known for his use of the Shorty in-game. This led to him donating 25 euros for every Shorty kill that occurred at the LOCK-IN event. As a result, many members of the community have paid tribute through moments of silence, Shorty-only rounds, and pledging to donate money to mental health charities for every Shorty kill that occurs over the next major competitive Valorant events.

franchise-worthy player is much looser than people expect
everyone clowned on eg and c9 (me included) for keeping players like c0m, runi and jakee while dropping/benching yay and bcj and they ended up fighting for the tokyo and champs slot

posted 9 months ago

based on split 2 everyone did

posted 9 months ago

cause pacific has actual regional fanbases unlike EMEA who only follow the big orgs
