Suckseed, some random Thailand movie i watched years ago on DVD a pretty fun come of age of age movie, not really melancholy but maybe a whole new perspective. Didn't not know if it hold up tho XD.

i have a soft spot for studio ghibli movies. howls moving castle and grave of the fireflies are good albeit really sad. animated movies are always fun too.
me before you and the boy in the striped pajamas are also emotional for non animated ones.
ive never watched any studio ghibli movies but ive heard they’re good, i have grave of the fireflies on my watchlist
also, if you like foreign films, 20th century girl will leave you crying.
it’s a coming of age romance and highly introspective. i highly recommend.

the mischaracterization of the nazis is so bad that even if it's got a sad ending no sane person should actually consider it.
grave of the fireflies is the only ghibli film I've watched and it's left me devastated for like a whole day.
boy with the striped pajamas is another kinda sad movie if you don't mind historical inaccuracies
heard that eternal sunshine of the spotless mind is also another heartbreaking film. haven't seen it though.

Look Back - Short anime movie. I really liked it 9/10
The Rabbi's Cat - Another animated movie. Weird wacky, maybe pretentious. But overall I enjoyed this movie and its commentary on religion 7-8/10
Waves (2019) - One of if not my favorite movie. A families journey and response to a tragedy. Watched it probably 5 times 10/10.
