from a single player in the game's history (tier 1 only)
yay 2022: 1.22 rating playing broken Chamber in the best tactical Chamber system in VCT
aspas 2024: 1.26 rating playing Jett, Raze and Neon carrying tex and C0M
actual good player vs statmaxxer
texture and munchkin were much better players than aspas in '24
GENG was just a better team over the year
aspas was hard carrying a team that would never reach those heights without him breaking records
kingg, C0M and tex played together in 2025 and they didnt qualify to anything
Mazino also didnt do shit in 2025 with KRU
did we not see the 47 kill match against Sen '24 and one of the only teams to sit down G2
i mean he was the best player of '23 but I won't say he was as dominant as y4y '22
imagine having one of the highest highs in valorant history to getting fucked over by C9 who still to this day hasnt qualed to a international what a shit team/org
im pretty sure yay signed with C9 before the OPTIC core signed to NRG so yay also fucked himself over, but i think yay instead of ardiis wouldnt of changed much with chamber being gone so was there dominance internationally
No Marved was the first player to leave Optic first or bring up the idea and then that started the domino effect, then yay went to C9 which they fucked him over and the others went to NRG I believe.
Yeah easily, no one else has been the undisputed best player for an entire year
Leo's probably the closest but he definitely wasn't the best player at Champs. Being real too I just think the meta changes so much nowadays it would be impossible for anyone to be that dominant for a whole year again.
i wouldn't say dominant because he "only" won masters 1 (didnt even have regional title) and by copenhagen he was already declining but that whole year was tied with demon1 as the hardest carry in history of valorant
