and current G2 core, having first joined The Guard all the way back in December 2021. Often dubbed “The Professor,” he served as a rock and a consistent clutch factor for the core across their storied history, including The Guard's first international appearance at Masters Reykjavik in 2022 and their win at Americas Ascension 2023.
After The Guard was denied entry into VCT Americas due to failure to sign the partnership agreement, the roster was allowed to transfer to G2 with their core intact. The team quickly climbed the domestic standings and made their return to the international stage for Masters Shanghai, where they made a deep run and finished in third place. G2 later ended the year with a top-eight result at Champions Seoul.
Expectations for G2 rose even higher ahead of the 2025 season with the signing of Alexander "jawgemo" Mor. Over the course of the year, G2 achieved a runner-up finish at Masters Bangkok and a rare regional three-peat, lifting the trophy in Kickoff, Stage 1, and Stage 2. Despite their regional dominance and consistent international playoff appearances, G2 was ultimately unable to claim an international trophy, exiting Masters Toronto in fourth and Champions Paris in the top eight.
While JonahP's replacement has not yet been announced, G2 is slated to compete in the Red Bull Home Ground 2025 main event, which begins tomorrow. At the time of writing, the exact schedule and bracket for the event have not been publicly announced.
