Hot takes for your region

no death threats pls :)

My take on LATAM:

  • Region level will go down by a lot bc of KRÜ's roster change (they'll be the top team, just not top 4 like last year), possible BR > LATAM.
  • Most teams will start to dissolve or shuffle their rosters like NA CS. Top players moving to BR.
  • keznit not moving to BR bc of language barrier but still dominates with KRÜ.

I would like a merge from BR and LA south and north in officials tbh
I feel this way every region would improve drastically

BR orgs are already signing LAS players but I don't see Riot merging regions. BR salaries are way better than LATAM's and that would leave a lot of orgs behind. That way it'll surely be KRÜ vs the whole BR region.

True I didn't think that way
BR surely entered the 2022 scene pretty strongly
What about Riot doing something like they do with EMEA region? They still have 3 separate regions and qualifiers (EU, TR, CIS) but they ultimately share the same circuit. This would be great for BR, LAN and LAS.
What do you think?

I hope they do something like a South American Challengers like they did with the LCQ. Mostly bc LAS and BR regions are really linked together. That'll mean that most of the SA players willl move to BR 'cause of salaries and it's the center of the region, but that also means more posibilities for orgs to join the game and players to get signed and make a living from Valorant.

About LATAM orgs, most of them will be like SA CS orgs, tier 2 teams with top players moving to BR. Most recent example being 9z try going to 00Nation (with coldzera), and even more known: meyern to Sharks and MIBR.

SA Challengers would mean the fall of LATAM orgs but the rise of some of the best players in the region.

I'd like to merge regions tbh there would be less toxicity and more brothers

#14
FERETON

Frags

Ofc my man, our region is open to merge with you manitos xd
No like, seriously I'll reduce toxicity and probably help growing streamer fanbases.
Still I don't think sharing servers would be good, just the competitive scene. I don't want SA servers to be like CS:GO.

#37

No sharing servers is just impossible because of the language barrier, but the region merge would be awesome having a LATAM region with las Lan and br on the same qualifier

#39
FERETON

Yeah it's important for the language reason but it opens the possibility for a lot of problems, all around toxicity and possible pro drama.

do u know any info about salaries in LATAM

#57
FERETON
0
Frags
+

Nobody knows precise info, as LATAM salaries are not being leaked every year like EU and NA contracts. But if we compare CS:GO salaries and BR Val salaries any player excluding the KRÜ roster could perceiving less than any other region Tier 1/2 orgs. I don't want to give false info so anyone that knows any kind of data about salaries around the world, mainly in minor regions, that could be helpful.

delz1k removed everything related to KRÜ from his twitter, so he probably already left and he's trying to find another team. There's no official announce from the org but it's most likely to be that way.

he had the worst performance of kru with nagzet, so I don't see anything wrong with them changing to 2

#30
FERETON
1
Frags
+

Still I think delz1k's performance was better than Nagz's, just bc he plays a more passive role and keeps it at a good level even against top tier opposition. I don't think he should be the one moving to another team, but if he does I hope he joins a good BR roster.

-Nagz +aspas could've been sick tho

#32

Frags

they are in loud, f, I really don't think it will become a team with Brazilians, remember that kru was created by kun aguero to give him a sample of latam's potential, that's why I don't think they will try a list that is not Spanish-speaking, but if they do it it will really have a great impact

#34
FERETON
0
Frags

The team was made to give LATAM players a possibility to play in their region and not have to move to BR or EU for better posibilities. But it's clear the org is not the problem, it's the region. Rn if they don't keep up the level they'll end up like every other team in LATAM.

Delzik leaving would be a huge loss for KRU but honestly KRU should get a better jett than nagz

#54
FERETON

Agree, even tho if Nagz plays really well when he's confident he showed moments of poor performance. The thing is there's not many known Jett players in LATAM, and he's probably "the best one" in the region.

SEA:

  • PH will only have 1-2 good teams
  • MYSG/ID/TH at least 3 good teams (for each country)
  • VN 1 good team (hopefully)

Riot starts doing eng costreams for CIS, viewiship will grows, big orgs will come in.
Riot will make for CIS own server, so more CIS players will come in because there will be opportunity to play on ping 30-40,not on 110+

northern latam, i have only seen 2 organizations continue after 1 year with their valorant team, 6karma and infinity esports, the only organizations that are doing something in valorant in northern latam. if riot doesn't change how it treats this region we will die in oblivion

#21

Maybe if Riot does the SA Challengers and LCQ consistently or merges LAN Challengers qualified teams with NA in a Challengers circuit they could make it work.

i really think BR made the most impactful roaster changes amongst all regions so BR stonks going up.
EMEA since they were dominant in champions other than guild i don't see any tier 1 changes.
NA i'm excited for XSET i always thought purer was just average and coudn't bring that Jett factor to the team so maybe cyrocells will, want to see what if TSM changed but i believe in C9 supremacy.
dont know much about other regions.

BR

  • scene is more competitive now but i dont think there is a really super team yet
  • VK will prob get ride of jhow and/or v1xen soon if they rly want to become the best
  • dont think scene will get a lot better. we have the same old problem that I already stated here https://www.vlr.gg/65638/female-brazilians-team-drama
female teams are forcing male teams to pracc against them, otherwise they would get exposed on twitter as sexist
Our praccs are getting worse and worse by time to time because of this
I dont think it happens in any other region

bro this female pro Taywhatever is cringe af wdym every team is forced to scrim against them, why making it a sex problem when it's clearly about being low tier so they don't think they'll learn much.

yea

she posted that on twitter just to get stomped 2-0 by a team of random radiant players ("improvisad0") next day
https://gamersclub.gg/valorant/tournaments/1380/matches/38584?tab=info&round=1

and guess what? not a single tier1 team would accept to pracc against "improvisad0" either, its not about male/female but quality of the team

#29
FERETON

Another reason to merge regions with LATAM. More players from the same level moving to BR, more teams and praccs in the same region. Even tho LAS teams already pracc with BR teams, they play with higher ping, consistent praccs + top orgs and better players joining the scene would really help the region.

The problem is we all know BR scene in general is stronger... Yes, KRU > BR teams if you take Champs as parameter but the rest of the teams are weaker than the top BR teams... Look how the SA LCQ went... semi finals with 3 out of 4 teams being BR and Furia 3-0'd Australs

#35

That's the biggest reason why i say this year BR will be completely better than LATAM, even considering KRÜ.

BR:

  • VK and LOUD probably will be tier 1 global teams in Masters and Champs
  • New big orgs will enter the scenario in the 2 split
  • This year, almost every BR team will be in international playoffs
  • A new meta based on high-tempo will dominate the international scene, with SEA, BR and KR being the pioneers
