it's gonna be result based merit. Unsatisfactory split/international result = EDG gonna trial different player each time till they find the one. The core 4 players ain't leaving. the 5th gotta flex adapt to the meta whether its flash initiator/Yoru/Double duelist/Double smokes/Double Senti etc.

Yeah I think EDG inadvertently set extremely high expectations for themselves with the champs win. They will probably start cycling through players until theyre top 3 international level again.

If you read kangkang’s statement, he said he wanted the team to stick together as long as possible but yeah… things changed after simon's situation. It’s understandable they had to look for someone better, but even now they still haven’t found anyone better than him.........

KangKang always wanted the team to stay unchanged, EDG is basically a family. After and Haodong's imminent departure post shanghai is inevitable (change is needed) and that is result based merit I'm talking about. EDG will give the 5th incoming player the trust, opportunity and time to be in the main team, but performing that satisfy the result is needed to maintain in that team.

I mean, they can pick up any player they want. These Chinese Orgs have money like air to breathe and none of their import slots are used. Though he has to speak chinese (seriously why are Chinese Players never bilingual bro)

Honestly speaking there is a lack of flex / support players in china I think EDG can fix by putting smoggy on flex and buying a smokes player . Like guys dont forget smoggy was a really good flex player when haodong was on smokes and was arguably their second best player after kang kang ofc . I'm saying this cuz like astra is more popular now and lowkey astra doesnt suit smoggy and I think he is a good smokes player but imo he is not like a Karon, pANcada or a mako so ya . Clove boosted his stats he wasnt elite on omen also , he wa s very good . Like lowkey there are good somkes players in china so ya or they can import a singaporean player like wayne .
