To be fair, USA has never cared about soccer. Meanwhile EMEA tries to be as competitive as possible in valorant.
Nah the USA 100% cares about football nowadays (not as much as the more popular sports, but still quite a lot)

it’s the biggest sport on earth wtf it may be proportionally less popular in the us but there are tens if not hundreds of millions of soccer fans in america
most us soccer fans probably watch european / other leagues anyway. and it's not about the number of fans, it's about the number of players and support; if other countries channel 90% of their athletes into soccer/football while america channels them into football, baseball, basketball, etc, this feels like "not caring" to me
that's not true, literally no one gives a damn about soccer in the us. like neither one of any of my friends and family probably couldn't even name 3 players besides messi and ranaldo.
what i'm saying is there is no market for it, so it wouldn't be a great return on investment.
It's literally a dead game in EU. Nobody cares, they play the superior game there.
If anything its Americas that is on the decline, EMEA keeps producing top talent that are replacing all the washed bots while Americas have been recycling the same players for 2 years now, same for APAC to some degree, I think EMEA is clearly the best region this year and thats without generational talents like Comeback, GSR and Sayonara... Natank wasted in Americas too...
spitting facts, so many talents in Emea, also in VCL Dach NXTs solely purpose is to improve young talents and 3 of their players are also promising (Daxcio, Movi and Terrox), their stats may not seem insane but in the eye test u can see their potential
they arent ready for whats coming once this new gen gets international exp and jamppi/nats/sayf and others get even more exp as igls, we already poached their goat IGL and sentinel, its a matter of time before emea dominates, just imagine comeback instead of marteen in KC and BBL with full roster, those two together with TH, TL and VIT are 5 teams that could make a run internationally with time but ofc its easier to say EMEA is on the decline because we havent won shit since Tokyo even if TH got close af twice, they only look at wins and not the underlying stuff
im gonna be honest, Emea T2 has the most promising and also the most talents in general, plus the things u listed, Emea is building its way for success and it will only get better, alone the amount of promising 16-17yo talents is insane, another players to keep an eye on are derr in Siko and Sunflower in HGE, they r both 16 and I hear a lot of praise abt them, emeas future is promising

APAC has had the most changes out of anyone and proved to be the best region last event. here's the rookies from each region AFAIK (some might be wrong, just checked if they got added late 2024. also didn't account ascension winners, just +5 if you want)
