I wish to see more copy pastas like Suraj 'ScreaM' Mehta is a former krunker.io player now playing Valorant for Lulquid, He is currently a insane duelist after being coached by Forsakens brother SkRossi Best known for his odin sprays , Those ones crack me up.

As much as I want the South Asian team to win APAC LCQ and secure a spot in Championship, it's very very unlikely that GE would be able to do so. Anyways best wishes to GE and hope they do well against all teams ❤️

The only way GE wins is when all 5 players play well. Recently skillz and kappa looked out of form in some maps and it is a concern for them. If all of then play good and step up for the important moments then GE can pull off definitely. Against SEA GE can do good bcoz they scrims against them so it will not be surprise for them but yes Korea and Japan teams can trouble GE so it will be tough for them but yes they have a really good chance to make it through LCQ.

bruh. if they can win against SEA, they can win against JP. SEA>JP. KR will probably win tho

I would love them to have a great performance so that they get a masters spot next year. But there is noway they reach finals imo. When i watched them, they arent pacient enough, it reminds me of sinatraa in his early days were he did uneccesary pushes and died.

Imo GE can be happy if they win a game against SEA or JP. The highest goal I would put for them is getting 5th-6th

Too low.

GE used to beat SEA teams as early as Dec prev year.
At that point in time, India was participating in SEA tournaments as VCT had not been announced yet.

If you look at the records they have beaten every SEA team they were matched against except Bren and X10. This was also when Bren and X10 were playing for a couple of months as a team and GE was just a new bought-together roster. That would easily put GE in the top 3-4 slot in SEA.
Also, we have to consider that the GE right now is just so much better.

Also, Japan is not very good IMO. They get a slot and viewership but that's pretty much it. Japan is not comparable to SEA.

The real challenge in Korea. They are pretty good and most probably Nuturn will be in the tournament. I would give GE a less than 5% chance of making it through Nuturn (5% because if GE players step up and Nuturn is playing badly, something might be possible, being extremely optimistic).
Expected rank 4, best possible rank 2, and at worst, they may end up at 6 or 7 or something.

People may disagree but I am just looking at past stats and not accounting for how much GE has improved faster than their competition.

Maybe next year.

But I am sure Riot will suck up to China and give them slots before even coming back to SA.

If they go with the 24 teams tournament from next year, I am pretty sure they will distribute the new slots to Brazil Korea JP, and China before even considering India or South Asia as a whole.

#18
PrTsty
1
Frags
+

if its 24 that means they would have 8 more slots
imo they should add
1 NA
2 CH
2 SA
1 BR (or 4 for south amerika in total)
2 OCE
they will most likely only give one to SA and add one to SEA/KR/EMEA

#22

Oh yeah, 2 more for SA but 0 for cis, gj

#26

CIS can still technically make it to masters and champions. Its just through EMEA right? That is a potential 4 slots.

There is just no way SA teams could go to masters, Iceland or Berlin. GE could be the best team in the world and still not be able to qualify for international tournaments.

The only chance SA gets to qualify for masters in the Asia LCQ. Asia's last chance qualifier is SA's first and last chance to qualify.

Though I think only 1 slot to SA is enough. They are yet to prove themselves despite showing some promise.
Korea or some similar region deserves more slots.

But China getting 2 slots is just outrageous considering their current gameplay. I mean yes its pro gameplay and could pass off as Radiant gameplay. However that is just not comparable to how Korea or SEA plays. Maybe even Japan might be better.

I thought he meant south America and not south asia, my bad, south american teams already have a slot

#64

I expect GE to pull off a Stage 2 Gambit in APAC LCQ, and Rito can then provide more slots to SA in LCQ and a Masters slot as well (just one will be pretty big).

For those who don't get the reference, Gambit was the sole CIS represntative in EMEA playoffs challengers 2, against 4 EU and 3 TR teams, and they managed to finish in top 4, ahead of the TR teams. Who did they lose to in the semis? Fnatic. Gambit could've easily be the 2nd EMEA representative had they not faced Fnatic in semis. And now CIS sends 3 teams to playoffs.

I think I am being extremely optimistic saying GE will get the #4 spot in LCQ.

But whatever, if SKRossi pops off anything can happen. This guy just dominated a hong kong lobby with 100 ping in his streams.

Separating JP/KR/SEA/SA/CH/OCE but not EMEA would be fucking insanity

Also 2 SA instead of 2 LATAM and 1 SA is crazy

Either way, we'll probably be seeing an increase in the number of Masters participants - which could already be stretching the length of the tournament, and complicates the distribution of Champions slots across regionsas well. The only way I can see a 24 team tournament be wrapped up in around 10 days is if they make eight groups of 3 teams each, where the groups are single round robins, and the 8 group winners progress into a single elimination bracket.

If you look at the records they have beaten every SEA team they were matched against except Bren and X10.

They played against X10, Bren, and Division Gaming (lost in 2nd round of viet challengers LOL)

Lost to X10 2-0 (13-3, 13-10)
Lost to Bren 2-0 (13-2, 13-3)

1) This guy thinks that there has been only one tournament in SEA so far XD.

2) Thinks that China's gameplay is comparable to other teams in APAC LCQ. A few days ago I got interested in the Chinese region, posted a thread about it, got responses watched their gameplay, and yes they will not be expected to do well in APAC.

3) Comparing a team newborn team playing their first tournament online to a team who had already played dozens of series. (Also can I mention this was literally a year ago?). GE was not even the best team in their region.

4) Account created 5th Sept.

5) Obligatory use of "OMEGALUL".

KappA and skillZ are reallly average man...if those 2 somehow insanely improve their mechanical skills in a month they will fsho rach grand finals atleast

#15
SnooTangerines

Frags

KappA maybe but skillz is maybe one of their most important players. His impact is not visible from frags but from support.

I would also like to point out that GE plays a lot like TSM where every team member is there to set up Wardell. In GE they set up SKRossi so that his operator cannot be moved by util. They break recons, drones, wolfs or put counter util to everything the other team puts at them.

In such kind of format you really dont need to frag a lot as a sova or as a controller/sentinel that skillz plays.

#51

I told mechanical skills their support is excellent for playing good as a team....kappa and skillz lose their 1v1 duels most of the times against indian teams itself....sea teams will he so much stronger mechanically

Strange coming from someone with a TSM flair.

GE has a playstyle so similar to TSM that you may as well call them the same team.

Each player is just there to set up SKRossi to frag out. They break drone, darts and dogs counter flash for flashes and just about anything a team does to remove an OPer or an aggressive duelist.

That is why he is so hard to beat as an OPer. Other teams don't try half as much and thus their jetts and other duelist don't frag out half as much.

This whole playstyle makes SKRossi frag out in nearly all games he plays. He is top fragging in 9/10 games. I think this is high enough rates to do ok in LCQ.

Moreover, I am not expecting them to win anyway. All they have to do is -

1) Beat Chinese teams
2) Beat Japanese teams
3) Beat 2 of the 3 SEA teams

to prove that they are a half-decent team and worthy of more slots in the future, and it's totally doable with SKRossi popping off 9/10 times.

Also, it's not as if other players have never stepped up. You will see hellranger lightningfast and skillz getting 2v4s and 1v2s in a lot of rounds and anchoring sites on their own.
I am not expecting this to happen again and again though. But if by any luck if this happens against the top SEA team or Korean teams, they will not get smoked and walk away with a respectable loss or maybe even a win.

AvIsBeastMC

man, winning against international teams also considering that GE will go against them for the first time in VCT, it's obviously gonna be very hard to beat SEA and JP teams atm, I think that they can beat Chinese teams easily or maybe flawlessly, we should not compare ourselves to the top SEA teams rn and just wait for how they play against them for the first time, we have done a lot of scrims fsho and played and GE has played in SEA Fire, but they quite put the best performance they could at that time and also at that time the team was very new, I hope they perform good this time and hope the best for the future, I don't think we are ready to expect this high from a South Asian team atm. But yes, they have improved a lot as well as the SEA teams, hope GE performs as good as they can.

#66
SnooTangerines

There won't be top SEA teams in APAC LCQ. It literally says LCQ in the same.

#3rd #4th and #5th will be relatively much easier.

Moreover, just try to remember Japan's performance in Iceland. Even RN they are not much better.

And yes the expectation is not to do well in the tournament but to get a spot near #4 or #5. Doable imo if they play well.

It gonna be hard because there's KR who's a best region on APAC with 2 from VS/NU/F4Q going to represent them, there's also JP with Reject alongside either Zeta/CR as representative who will have LAN experience, SEA with Boom, Full Sense, Bren and either PRX/10X depend on how far PRX go on Berlin and last but not least China who's a mystery there's an insane jett there also iirc

Also bringing argument like "SA do well against SEA team last year" isnt going to help either look how GameLander Blue, TSM, and Heretics dominate on First Strike but where are they now ? The game is changing and evolving bro

Good Luck for GE tho, i personally just want to see a Banger match

There's still a long way to go to win against these SEA, KR and JP teams, people are expecting too much from a South Asian team which has never played any VCT match before + against these teams. Fsho the team is working hard and we have also come a long way but there's still a long way to go, not expecting too much from GE in this LCQ but I hope, as we keep getting chances, we'll improve fsho. I hope Riot gives slots for VCT later after this LCQ too. However I can expect them to get a 4th or atleast 6th pos, if possible.
