Chamber Nerfs aren’t that bad

This is just my opinion, but I feel like Chamber is still a good agent. I mean it is true that these changes are an overall nerf for him, but he still has a place in the meta as a hard op anchor. I might even argue that he has gotten stronger on the attacking side, while getting weaker on the defending side. Let me know what you guys think. Any counterarguments are greatly encouraged!

Actually the opposite, he got way weaker on attack and his defending side is also heavily affected but not as bad. Still usable, don't think he is BAD but might be outclassed by cypher now. Jett and Yoru might see more use now. Yoru now only agent that can flank and tp far away now. Jett might be more used since chamber will be replaced for cypher, and Jett gets to be the Opereator.

Good points. However, I would argue that since he has a larger radius with his tp, Chamber can get more aggressive on the attack side. Since his trip is able to be recalled as well, he could use his trip aggressively.

But flanking is really bad in attack, as he now cannot infiltrate in B site haven without his trip in A site or C site deactivating for example. Nor can he hold some positions safely now as he doesn’t have a tp in CT. Recalling trap is good but 30s is too much. With killjoy it works because she has 2 robots and one shoots at long range.

That is true. I think teams will have to be careful of the trip and its range. I believe teams that like to default will have no problem with this, however. I feel like slow-playing teams will also be comfortable using Chamber.

I think I like it, he will not take the spot of a duelist anymore imo and might actually be used to stronghold sites on some maps. Meanwhile we get to see more of the other sentinels and duelists too.

As long as it keeps over like 25% pick rate or something like that the nerf will be balanced imo

Name the best chambers in the world? What did they play before Chamber and what will they play after Chamber? Are they sentinels or duelists? How is an agent whose purpose is to take duels a sentinel?

sentinels is for locking down sites

chamber could not entry
chamber could lock down a site

also who played it doesnt matter he replaced a sentinel in team comps not the duelist

No, the duelist is not the entry, is Kay/o a duelist then? The duelist like it’s name says is the agent who takes the duels, whose only purpose is to kill, and that’s what Chamber does, kills, a single trap does not make him a sentinel

Wdym he replaced the sentinel on team comps, there was a shit tone of teams playing no duelist comps because of chamber

He's not bad, maybe still pretty good just not broken. He'll just be balanced and players will have to put more thought between choosing kj, cypher, and chamber.

chamber's tp didnt get nerfed that much. he still is untradable. only thing that affected him is his ability to teleport to the other site in some maps.

Kinda disagree there, it does not just mean that you can’t rotate faster, means you can’t move from a part to the site to another, like peeking short and the Tping heaven to get another peek or stuff like that

imo he will just be less viabl on certain maps e.g. ones where he was super strong for fast rotations with tp like breeze and haven

chamber is completely shit now. specially in pro play maybe it can get some value in ranked.
in general there are only specefic tps that are usable on every map its just not dynamic enough and you will know where chambers are playing every time

Feel like its going to be more like astra. The tp nerf will make go to its center. Now you can counterplay a chamber tp by rushing him after he tps. Of course this might seem bad, but pro teams and high elo in general will probably stop this by having another teammate guard chamber's tp.

he will still hold with op but he wont push with rendezvous on mid ascent and tp to A site heaven with a click.
