noxxy threw few rounds since they had to play in Mumbai server and were getting 60-70 ping (even tho SA always plays in this ping)
even tho mumbai wasnt the default server and it was a cointoss (will be veto in playoffs)
idk what did he expect since its a SA TO tourney
on the good part tho RNT won both its matches against sea

Can we have better solution for 2 ping against 70 ping? Even ID ping will not get 1 digit on SG server, it's still playable on sg to Mumbai server but from indo it's frustrating, the gap is too far..

stop complaining about ping ffs
65 ping is nothing to complain about. From mumbai to singapore we get the ping 60-65 which is also what the ae players were getting in todays match.

From his tweet it looks like they were at 70 ping playing against 2 ping.

by 65 I meant 65 on an average and all the indian players when they played in apac from mumbai, they too were getting the same ping approximately.
What he did is just unprofessional

Bro it's in the rule book
Coin toss for server selection
If they didn't read it it's their fault and stop crying
Shouldn't have registered then

Usually as someone pointed out Indo teams get better ping if played on good inet .
Also yes Indian players can get as low as 30ping to SG server but I'm not sure if it's Mumbai tho or other city so Im not too sure

Noxxy posted a screenshot where the whole team was getting 63-64 team. And youre right thats not the issue, Indian team played the whole of this year and last year playing on the same ping and they never griefed.

There was a reason GE played from Thailand for the LCQ because they want to play in better ping. but yeah that's not a reason to threw because they are professional players...And Noxxy should visit a doctor to manage his anger....

ge never played from thailand for lcq. For lcq they were in chennai and for the 2 apac challengers they played this year were from singapore.

My bad. I misremembered the news from last year, bcs I remembered they were in Thailand once.

This is false news though. They never went to Thailand. Yes they were made plans but you know, the hype around them was just too much. Basically every small tweet they made became news.

They then later realised that Thailand gives you 40ms ping while in Chennai you get 35-40ms so playing from chennai was much better since you did not have to wait for visa + local country.

I get 70 ping and no packet loss form Mumbai, it's different for different ISPs

The lowest you can get is 35-40 ping from Chennai but nearly all orgs are based in Mumbai. VLT and EG did travel to Chennai for Apac challengers when they qualified tho

Isn't it better for Indian orgs or players to stay in Chennai then if it brings better ping? Can bring better practice also
I'm just curious because 30 - 45 ping is usually also an average Thai ping to SG

Most Indian orgs have infra in Mumbai from before Valorant because of the mobile scene. The scrim situation is not that big of a deal for most orgs since most Indian teams scrim each other and only a few top teams get to scrim top SEA teams. Getting 35-40 from 45-50 ping in exchange of spending thousands of dollar to move to a somewhat expensive city by Indian standards is not a good exchange for Indian orgs.

That make sense on the org part but what about the players ? They are getting paid so can easily move to a better ping city and grind games . Will actually be helpful for them in tournaments

You are somewhat right but seeing the rise in Local events and riot off season tournaments in India it is better to play from Mumbai than chennai because of the servers but i do agree orgs should setup some sort of bootcamp in south India for better ping on SG servers

#28

Top Indian players will get paid say 80-110k INR and T2 will get paid 50-70k INR per month. Cost of living in Chennai per month including rent food etc since they would be moving there on their own would come to atleast 25k a month. Its simply not viable unless the org supports them

From North India its 90ms or higher,

Mumbai is like in the middle and you get 70 ping

From Chennai which is in the south you can get 40ms which is around the best you can get.

FFS even I get 40ms in Mumbai server playing from North India.

I have top quality internet in a semi north eastern part of the country and I get 32-35 ping at best. India is a ridiculously big country, wish we had a more central server in Delhi or something but that would've resulted in difficulties for pro players to scrim ig

Umm in Mumbai it is 65 ms ping on Singapore. But if you are in say Chennai which is at the South Part of India you will get 35-40 ms ping to Singapore servers

... we get 30 ping from chennai city only where no bootcamp is based
from mumbai we get 65+

#47

No Indian team will get 30 ping on SG from Mumbai. They have to be setup in Chennai for sub 40 ping. And almost all Indian teams are set in Mumbai.

huh wtf?
chennai gets 35 ping
mumbai gets 70 ping

ping is not decided by players... if its only BO1 then
if one team wins the toss then they will choose map and the loser will choose the server

I think issue was nevee the ping, issue was AE getting packet loss of 10-20%
Fault of this guys, can't get better internet.
