my definition of major/minor region

major region - a region where are contenders for tournaments in the past 12months like EMEA with FPX FNC (maybe TL, maybe not) or NA with OPTC,100T (maybe XSET, maybe not)
minor region - a 1team region like APAC or BR (sorry brazilian fans but no tier 1 team other than LOUD)

and i want to say that jp is in the middle, they dont have good tournament contenders but they have 2 teams fighting for one spot for a tournament with NTH and ZETA

LATAM is the best definition of a region changing from minor to major with KRU becoming better comparing them to their 2021 form and LEV being beasts out of nowhere

so you think jp is better than apac and br

thats why you took it wrong
br is a 1 team region and can be a title contender but
jp is a 2team region and can't be a title contender
thats why they arent minor or major, they have 2 teams at the same level on the top of the game
its like m3c vs tl

Furia gave a good game a against Fnatic i dont saw NTH giving a good fight against anyone besides jp teams, i am sure that brazilian second seed its better than jp

NTH got stomped by DRX and FPX they won against a weak Xerxia, in that masters Loud had matches against Optic and kru, actually if you compare NTH and Furia matches against DRX you gonna see that furia was way better than NTH against DRX, NTH got 13x1 and 13x8 and got stomped by FPX after beat Xerxia

u cant compare different teams results in different tournaments, like u would compare loud m1 to loud m2 or sen m2 to m3
drx got better (they ended in upper qf then they lost twice)
but still japan is more minor than major but they have two t1 teams that arent title contenders and loud can be a title contender on a good day
and brazil is just loud + 2nd team (furia nip) and loud's results vary every tournament, they can end either 2nd or last

Dude NTH only won 1 game in the group and some br teams won 1 game in the group stage too, i still dont understand why you praise NTH so much their only achievement was counter strat Zeta, Japan isn't a mid tier region just because NTH won against Zeta, besides Zeta they did nothing on international stage to be called mid tier.
And btw you said that we cant compare results that arent in the same tournament and said that drx got better for Champions, so furia faced a better drx and did a better job than NTH, you cant say that NTH performance makes jp mid tier, besides the Zeta run jp got eliminated in groups every tournament just like BR

Major region- region with multiple contenders in international tournaments (not necessarily championship contenders, but talented teams) and have enough viewership to back it up

minor region- regions with only one or two real contenders for tournaments, viewership doesn't necessarily matter but usually they have low to medium levels of viewership

Major regions- NA, EMEA
Minor regions- APAC, KR, JP, BR, LATAM
APAC- doesn't have very good viewership, and only PRX are a world class team
KR- no viewership, DRX are literally the only good team
JP- great viewership, but ZETA and NTH are the only decent teams and they aren't true title contenders
BR- decent viewership, only LOUD are world class
LATAM, decent viewership, LEV and KRU are the only good teams
NA- best viewership in the world, 1 consistent championship contender in Optic and multiple world class teams (The Guard, 100T, XSET)
EMEA- very solid viewership, FNC and FPX are consistently in playoffs and other great world class teams (TL, M3C, arguably G2)

tl never missed playoffs too, i agree with you except latam should be major after champions if lev makes it to semis atleast or lower finals

LATAM are in a similar situation to JP where they have only 2 teams that are good, and LATAM still doesn't have insane viewership

there wasn't a japanese LCQ so i cant compare them but JP has a good viewership

KR no viewership? Maybe because the games start at 5 am for koreans????

Look in the morning valorant twitch section and see who dominates that list

EMEA dont even get viewership theyre carried byinternational matches where they face an NA team

in the past LCQ tournaments, EA and EMEA had very similar viewership, with EMEA barely beating out EA's peak viewership by 2k and average viewership by 20k. EMEA was 2nd behind NA and destroyed APAC, so to say they have bad viewership is obviously wrong

EU's peek was only 60k lower in grand final
Average is higher for na because sentinels averaged 500k
overall viewership for NA is 3,062,374 viewers on all matches
Sentinels had 600k 500k 500k (more than half)
NA without sentinels had 1,447,826 viewers in 11 matches and that is 131,620 avg viewers and that's only 20,000 more than EU
u can't say EU doesn't get the viewership and they are carried by international matches

all regions have only one title contender team. Loud, Lev, opitic, FPX. TL very unstable, Fanatic only plays against UE.

100T, FNC/TL can be title contenders on their best form like LOUD
