MVP prize. most large scale tournaments in India(irrelevant of sport/e-sport) tend to give cars as MVP prize

People who say "Mobile gaming is not a real gaming ?" are just insecure PC gamers who want to be seen as superior bcoz their parents bought them a computer
Mobile gaming is huge in a lot of places. It could overtake PC gaming one day

It's actually a pretty big industry, especially in Southeast, East, and South Asia where a computer might not be accessible for half of the population, but a phone with decent features and a connection to mobile data can mean the entire world for aspiring gamers. Heck, I play mobile games for a quarter of my free time. I much prefer LoL Wild Rift over the PC counterpart.

Mobile esports like MLBB, Arena of Valor, Wild Rift, PUBGM/BGMI are household names that draw franchising leagues and millions of dollars in prizepools. High-profile teams compete in these games.

Mobile Gaming, in most of metrics (viewership/playerbase/revenue) , always much bigger than PC/console gaming. But for me, PC gaming still give me superior experience

global esports are on the hype ever since BMPS (an official event of bgmi in india). they outperformed every teams in group stages and semis, but unfortunately could not make it to the top 1. But in this LAN event, GE were like 4th and it was the final match, they won the match with humongous kills and got the 1st place

mobile gaming has a lot of viewership because majority of the population is broke and mobile gaming is more affordable than pc gaming

What embarassing in that? Mobile gaming is fastest growing market, they achieved so much in just 3-5 years, just this lan had prize pool of 1.5 Inr crores which is like huge for a third party event and best part mobile esports is still in its infancy, also you are indonesian isnt mobile gaming huge in your country too?

thats because mobile gaming esports in general are started by how the investors trying to exploit the third world country market by making their mobile games popular. it's meant for poor people.

and yes and its very massive here in indonesia even it becomes a culture for us.

Well if you wanna see like that prespective than thats your choice but you could also think as mobile gaming was untapped market for so many years and its recently started getting build up as an proper esports, getting alot of investors getting huge viewership, also watching games like pubgm, free fire doesnt means you are poor if one is poor that person might not even be able to afford a phone and data package

I just dont like the fact that most pro players here in my country use mobile gaming esports as their escape place if they failed in pc esports. that's just why.

people like BnTeT, xccurate, and now f0rsaken are struggled to fight against the temptation. And I really admire their attitudes of that. And now somehow the efforts paying off.

I agree, but as much as i hate mobile gaming i dont think esports scene will grow and get recognized here in ID + its a way to get friends

Btw i dont have a classmate that plays val or pc gaming, really unlucky lmao

its just our culture man

Like we are sometimes closing eyes about outside world and really immersed with our own world

thats why PC esports is really hard to get recognition here. It reach to the point that the athletes rather to play abroad than represent our region sometimes.

In India pc gaming scene was never that much hyped ( ofc now its slowly coming into light), here max people can afford a good phone with 8gb ram and we have some good internet providers. It immensely favors the mobile eSports community.
