Let me show you guys the difference on devs attitude towards valorant. Watch tier1 comparison what they have in LOL and what we will have in Valo according to rumors:

League of Legends current tier1 leagues:

Korean Leauge - 10 teams
NA Leauge - 10 teams
EU Leauge - 10 teams
China Leauge - 17 teams (!!!)
Pacific Leauge - 10 teams
Vietnam Leauge - 8 teams
Brazil Leauge - 10 teams
Oceania Leauge - 8 teams
CIS Leauge - 8 teams
Japan Leauge - 8 teams
LATAM Leauge - 8 teams
Turkey league - 10 teams

Valorant according to rumors:

America's (NA+BR+LATAM) - 8 to 12 combined (!!!)
EU (EU+CIS+MENA+TR) - 8 to 12 combined (!!!)
Asia (KR+JP+OCE+APAC) - 8 to 12 combined (!!!)

guys I haven't played LOL and not even watched it but seeing what rito did for LOL competitive scene is enormous. It's like Valorant must be. However, rito treated VALORANT very bad:

America's might have 28 slots (like in LOL 3 regions combined) but we ask even only 16 LMAO

EMEA might have 28 slots (like in LOL eu+tr+cis) but we ask them at least 16 and they will not do it (!)

Asia have 3000+ teams I can't even count the actual number of teams there, gave up.

4 MIL PEAK VIEWERS> 1 MIL PEAK VIEWERS

Did LOL have 1 mln peak viewers at first 2 years of competition?

but did LOL come from a popular company that created one of the most played games in the world when it was released?

But was the new game released in any way similiar to the previous popular game?

did the company making the game have hype and popularity when the new game was released? if the answer is yes then of course people from fps gaming backgrounds would be attracted to it because riot is known for making good games.

LOL is objectively not good but I see your point

i suppose but for the sake of this argument the measure of "good" is how many people play the game.

I don't get the point i guess. Does having more teams on main event means better?

Ofc it's better. If rito will do only 3 major leagues by 10 slots they will ruin whole scenes and vast majority of organizations leave Valorant

Idk why people downvoting the fact that only 30 orgs will be able to profit from valo. It will kill the scene.

For the majority of kids here valorant is the first tac fps and also esports as well, so they don't know how to react

First of all, why do they need fix spots and partners? They even pay them. Such a waste of money. Why can't they just create regional league with relegation and promotion with 12 slots.

Or just do an open qualifier system for teams outside the top half of the region so much easier

Regional league is good because it makes t2, t3 teams compete every week for about 2 months. And fixed spots in challengers for the top 8,10 teams make sure the they are safe.

I wish it was possible to do a system like Rocket League does, but unfortunately I don't think its realistic to do open qualifiers every other week, so i think regional leagues are good. But i think there should be more opportunity for promotion than the current system in EMEA

Dude if they put on franchising they must give at least 8 slots for each region. At least.
If your combining regions intro international major league, let's say, Americas, you must have at least 16 teams there. This is the minimum!

They should have more regional leagues like LOL or VRL, and the top qualify for those 3 continent leagues and then the best play masters

fuck franchising and trying to monopolize esports scene, kills the hype to me, not being able to see teams come and grind their way to the top makes it feel like a stupid show like american sports leagues instead of real sports, hope they implemented some type of circuit without regional leagues so we could see more international lans, they make some teams partnered so they get invites to the tournaments and then have open qualifiers each region, something like ESL events in csgo

yes, something like what epl does will be great: a bunch of partnered teams, esl world ranking teams, esea premier division winners from each region, and epl conference
14 partnered teams and 10 qualifying teams is a good ratio for healthy competition

ye something like that, I dont like partnered teams in cs but the esl partnered system would work for valorant tbh
I think tournament invites should be decided on ESL world rankings only instead of rankings+partner teams but if you gotta have partners for the money then its way better than franchising

csgo esports is wayyy better than valorant.
