Chamber nerf is good: heres why.

When thinking about balance people need to think about these things:

Why is Chamber picked? Because people like his guns and TP.

Why are Cypher and Killjoy NOT picked? Because chamber does their job just as well.

Nerfing his trips is the change that works best for everybody, now chamber players can still enjoy the attractive parts of the agent, while Cypher and Killjoy players aren't completely overshadowed.

And to address the whole "chamber is a sentinel" thing, Riot has stated that there is more than just 1 type of sentinel. there are setup sentinels like Cypher and Killjoy, who hold space through place-able gadgets, reactive sentinels like Sage, who hold space with slows and reactive abilities, and force-based Sentinels, who are particularly strong opponents when they are within their setups, IE chamber.

This is why his trademark nerf is a good change, pro teams and ranked players alike now have to make a decision when picking a sentinel; do we want more firepower with lesser flank watching and push stopping in chamber? or do we want an agent who has less firepower, but is better at holding flanks and stopping pushes? Before the nerf, chamber was best at both.

This is exactly what I'm saying, for some reason people think hes a duelist. Really he can't do anything a duelist can do. Riot good changes

I still think that he should have 2 trip charges, their duration should be decreased severely, the cost of each Headhunter Charge should be increased by 50 to 150, and his ultimate should be 8 points. That would really make him a Sentinel.

Honestly, though, Chamber is such a radically different agent compared to other Sentinels that he should have his own class.

Yeah i agree the only downside to trademarks is you can smoke them off, but with normal trips u can just updraft them so its kinda stupid. This will also make cypher be better than chamber in haven which is a 5 lane map or it’ll make chamber only the better option on some maps like breeze and icebox.

As a chamber main I play chamber because of his tp and trap, I never needed to use his guns. Personally I don't like it but if everyone likes it I can't do shit.

I'm surprised that so many pros are criticizing this nerf
I think it was perfect
Nerfing his sentinel ability was definitely the way to go coz this incentivises people who play Cypher and Killjoy

Idk imo they should've removed the slows from chambers ult instead. The gun is already broken in itself and the slows only add to its impact
