Franchise Will be fucking shit in Valorant, big orgs Will have Their shit Teams in the big events only because they are big.
Small orgs Will be used only to sell players for big orgs, and this is absolutelly HORRIBLE.

2023 Valorant Will destroy any underdogs story and Will completely destroy my Reagion as a whole.

No one Will invest in a game If their Brand isn't gonna be showed to the World, Valorant Will become boring and unfun to watch as a game.

For you to have some Idea, this shit Sentinels team would always play with the big teams, while Akrew would never even get the chance to play against Sentinels or other big teams, even that they are clearly better.

Valorant Will become super boring in 2023, Shit move by Riot.

No, unfortunally only for rich countrys.

This could work up in EU and NA, but not in Minor reagions.

Why would someone invest money to only win T2 tournaments? They wouldn't actually invest at all, i wouldn't If i was an org.

T2 Teams hardly have any sallary, when they do is something around 500/400 Dolars.

Now my scene os growing, but this franchise thing will could destroy literally everything.

Its so stupid. I'm pretty sure 90% of the Valorant community were begging no Franchising in the future. Somehow them removing the buy in and calling it "Partnership" completely fooled everyone.

with an ideal franchising system, while smaller orgs may not be represented, the lesser-known but skilled players would definitely be picked up by franchise orgs.

they have a vested interest to be the best, after all.

I do agree that it results in a lack of straight-outta-nowhere underdog runs, but there will still be unknown players like Trent, making deep runs and somewhat of an underdog run in their own right!

Sentinels in your example would 100% remain in the franchise. However, if they perform worse they have not only the financial backing of the franchise created revenue but also the benefit of being a franchise org to pick up better players. I.e. the situation where they weren't able to acquire a coach due to finances would likely not happen in a franchise system.

It all depends on how it's set up. I will miss the T1-T2 matchups, though, and I hope Riot has put in serious thought into ensuring T2 doesn't die as it has in countless games so far. Ideally, there would be a wildcard spot in the league itself, or at least to international competition.

also, i don't think your opinion is unpopular at all. it's absolutely normal and a valid concern.

That's the thing, i'm pretty sure they didn't put the work to ensure the T2 matchs.

The T2 in my country doesn't even get sallarys payed in an acceptable way. Most players get around less than 500$.

And after this i'm pretty sure they will get nothing at all.

This Franchise will completely destroy my Reagion as a whole, have you ever questioned why BR is so HORRIBLE in LoL? I'm pretty sure this is one of the reasons.

Teams will be created in friendship and not in potential, great players will never be discovered in my Reagion, why would they play? They don't receive salarys, have to play only for T2 and their spot in orgs depends only in Friendship and Lucky with org managers.

It's HORRIBLE.

In the First time Sentinels x Loud will be a fun match, After 234534563x time do you think It will have the same hype? Even the numbers in the events will fall, people Will not give importance to this match like they used before.

The fact that they put all of NA and SA into one “league” is crazy. How many slots will it have? Cause right now the most fair distribution of slots would basically be 80% NA and that will KILL Brazil.

Also, teams don’t have to pay to be in the league and I think they have no relegation… meaning they can’t lose their spot… like what’s the motivation to do good and spend tons of money on good players if you get to be in the league forever anyway.

Isn't it better for smaller teams to have teams in a franchise (ie get more money) so they can sell their players for more. It's not like we see f/a teams go far in this system or get picked up as a 5 stack anyway. That was only part of the early days of the competition.

But it would be nice if there is a way, like EMEA qualifier now where the worst performing team can get dropped & a good performer from lower level can join since the franchise won't be based high on buy in's.

At least in NA, we saw TGRD come out of nowhere, although technically owned by a big org (former Sentinel's partner in Overwatch). I've personally never heard of XSET before Valorant, so I don't know if they're a big org or not, but they're pushing to make it.

Hell, right now we have Girl Kissers making a run right now, beating V1 and might make it to the Group Stage of Challengers.

The Guard is more an example for franchising, then against it. A rich org coming up out of nowhere joining when franchise plans were very close to confirmed. XSET have like Swae Lee backing, so they're not small but only founded not even 2 years ago.

1 match upset is not really what i meant, the chances of them actually making groups are close to 0. Did they do that in 2020 they would've been picked up by an org, so the trend is already massively in favour for big teams.
