As someone who was an initiator main before I stopped playing the biggest problem is that no one plays off of you're util so then you just have to use you're util for yourself and at that point if you're going to play like that its just better to play yoru or phoenix who basically pseudo initiators.
in cumlow maybe, but if you comm and give your teammates ideas and easy plans mid round involving your util people are usually pretty receptive. for example "reyna i have a flash ct for you in 5 seconds... 3,2,1, pop", "once i plant im dogging screens", gives your team an easy way to play off your util. you can legit have so much impact playing init if youre willing to comm.

dont listen to bums bro. be confident in your calls, aggression is good all the time as long as its with someone and with utility.
The problem is that even if you say what you're going to do, often times your teammates either just don't listen and do their own thing, want your util used to help them instead and when you don't complain, or just don't know how to play around your util. And this is the case for the most part until Diamond.
then hold their hand, tell them exactly what you want them to do, if youre respectful about it they wont get pissed. "duelist can you dash up ramps im going to blind for you, its free kills", "neon how about you follow my dog and play off the bite as you enter site", "once we take site im saving a flash for us to push art, kj can you come with me".
ik low elo dont want to try as hard, but there are still people who want to win and participate in your plans i promise. i grinded from iron to immortal, ive been through every rank, and ive played every role except duelist as i climbed, i know what its like.
People don't take kindly to you micromanaging them in ranked even if you are respectful or you just get told its not that serious or your teammates just don't do anything you say. Also there are a lot of people who just play the game and don't watch VCT or understand the deeper strategy of the game which makes it hard to get teammates to play around you and your util.
Ultimately there is a fine line between playing for yourself and having your entire team play around you. What you're not considering is that you are playing with humans and not chess pieces, they won't move how you want them to and will often protest if you end up treating them like a chess piece which is what your suggestion basically does.
this has worked for me since i was gold, you cant argue that it doesnt work because i hit immo doing this, i have like 5k hours in this game playing like this, very rarely do people get pissed that i have ideas. what are you talking about bro T^T
Just because you, a singlular person, in a game that millions play, hit immo doing this doesn't mean that it will work for the vast majority. And just because you have a good experience with the playstyle doesn't mean that the majority of people playing the game will. Especially if you're playing on a server where people react poorly to you trying to tell them what to do.
just dont be a dickhead and people will want your util, know how to communicate with humans and your input would be valued. i find it hard to believe that a difference in server means comming is not viable.
