Yeah lev fucked up and based on stage 2 they do not deserve to go to champs, but then there is no need for points what so ever and you just send the 4 best teams from stage 2 :)

I mean why the fuck would they? How do you even construct a format where 2 teams can have nothing to lose, and even more to gain (because they eliminate a masters winner)? Like, surely they thought about this? Discussed it, and came to a conclusion that ''yes, that's a format we want to have''
lev had their own way to grind to champs, they failed to do so and were rightfully eliminated
true, but the fact that it's in g2's and nrg's best interest to lose their games to eliminate them is what's the problem. they didn't get ousted on pure merit, they are eliminated only in a specific scenario which requires nrg and g2 to lose. nrg and g2 are the teams who are guaranteed at champs. So, it's theoratically in g2's and nrg's best interest to lose to eliminate lev. Now, why the fuck would you have a format where you can benefit from losing?
its a weird format but if we being fr LOUD is also just as much of a terrorist team rn that can pull off crazy upsets at champs, if ur talking abt NRG/G2 letting c9 qualify instead of lev id understand why this format is stupid 😭😭😭

no champs points = they are eliminated anyways and you base it off of stage 2
champs points = nrg and g2 have this cushion to know that they are in and just eliminate lev.
one is you losing on merit, the other is a specific scenario happening where you are out, and your rivals control your fate.

Champs points allowed them to get rewarded for something they didn’t get from merit, so you can’t really be mad, because the possibility of them qualifying itself is technically not deserved
- yeah and then no discourse what so ever, you can't entertain a scenario where g2 and nrg throw on purpose
- which is why I think it would be better if wins at masters counted as well. a win over half-dead EG should not give you more than a win against the best teams of other regions imo
DRX and EG also qualify through this format and make deep runs btw
