What about ge loosing both pearl and breeze from the pool and having both lotus and haven. Despite all this they are in top. Ge were best in Pacific and might be in the world on pearl. Their breeze too was insane. Lotus is their perma ban and haven is bad for them too.

It’s simply that, as Termi said, the bracket path leading to a match against GE VL is truly luckier than the one on the other side; avoiding NS, PRX, T1, and Gen.G is the more favorable scenario.
Looking at GE alone, they are quite a good team.

They are still currently a better contender than t1. Even if they go out in groups. They would give more competition to top teams than t1 would. With pearl and breeze might even defeat some of them
