just watched navi vs g2, comparing to valorant csgo seems faster paced. i enjoyed watching the game although i dont know shit about the map or most of the players. in valorant the first 50 secs is just teams sitting there doing buttfuck nothing 90% of the time. is csgo games always this fast paced?
edit: i just watched like the last 7 rounds so maybe im wrong lol, ignore this

We watching the same shit? NaVi were defaulting and holding nades in their hands for at least 30 seconds every round.

true, its the same, i feel like it's just the mood created by the casters, filling all the boring spots with their voices

Yeah that I agree, CSGO casters are elite and even better than most real sports casters.

i guess im confused by them running from the round start rather than already holding angles like in val

CS GO is much slower paced game compared to valo, you may think it's fast paced cause defaulting in CS requires lots of util compared to val and the movement speed of characters is much faster.

Cuz when the barrier drop in val players arnt stuck at t/ct spawn. They can already push b main (let’s say) when the barrier drops (same w ct side)

The one thing I love about majors is the crowd, it makes it so much more interesting, wish Valorant Masters had one.

Main problem about fast paced rounds in valorant is an astra suck, that one utility can kill entire push, while in csgo a molotov may be used by CT's but that can be countered easily by smoke to keep the push going byt the T's. Before astra there were alot of fast paced rounds, but since astra its very hard.

It can be both fast or slow paced really it depends on the teams and the circumstances

CSGO feels fast, because there isn't pretime before round starts. So both teams have to run to their positions as fast as possible and because of this there's usually people doing fast plays trying to catch each other off.

but there were always sage slows, which slowed down a push.

That could seem a little detail (because it's before the action), but that's one of the big differences between csgo and valorant pacing

Yes? How can you say that CSGO doesn't have a lot of players when it literally has? Yes maybe the avg playerbase is couple hundred thousand less than what it was like 2 years ago, but even still its playerbase is massive and been around that for years. Its especially impressive since CSGO now has straight competitor in Valorant and Covid era has been slowly ending.

IDK why did you talk about covid thing since what I commented is about "avg playerbase is couple hundred thousand less than what it was like 2 years ago" so I repeated my message to you "quarter 2 in 2020 there are avg. players about 600-800k but now it's about 500-600k" RIP ur peanut brain

but the average number is over 600k rn. don't forget that volvo removed free prime so you players have to pay 12.75 EUR in EU. that's the one and only reason

during the evenings 800k-1m is more than enough. but i can agree that some regions may have to wait for like 10-15 minutes to find a game

I watched cs more than I played val probably - around 400h and I think cs in pro level is slower paced in general. I do enjoy watching cs more than val though, pro valorant just puts me to sleep and sometimes even funny tarik can't save me from that
