why are the most popular or trending movies and shows such mid slops in netflix? just watched a movie called the last house from netflix as it is the most popular movie in the platform currently. most mid movie i have ever watched. how do people watch and like such movie? even tv shows with high viewrship in netflix lot of the times are so overrated and mid.

which streaming platform actually produces or develops the best shows and movies? any recs?

Cause Netflix focuses on commercial success and comes up with safe family friendly formulas that can be liked among masses.
As for recommendation idk about movies but for shows imo apple TV produces some good shows. Some good one I have watched are severance, murder bot, silo and widow's bay.
