How come teams focus so much in gamesense and teamwork, then proceed to get thrown off very hard by teams that solely focus on mechanics. It has happened more and more often nowadays. I know that obviously on paper the team that has the best strategies and perfect executions could win 90% of the time...but is that true? Maybe teams in the future will be hard capped by their mechanical abilities compared to all these younger teams that have this as priority. Perhaps a valorant's team main focus might shift if more and more players strive towards that direction. Im sure a lot of people will disagree with this, but you can observe it unfold in real time. Perfect valorant will likely beat near perfect mechanics (unless?).

The top teams do have good game sense and teamwork. It just manifests itself in terms of micro instead of macro.

I think a lot of the tactical teams have just gotten so used to only playing other tactical teams. So when theses new firepower heavy, run it down kinda teams show up they don’t fully know remember the right responses

it probably will if they dismantle the other 4 players. NRG has lost to worse teams than these new gen ones. its exciting

Meta favours such stuff now
2023 and 24 both had meta's that had a favour towards Macro or a balance of both
But 25s and 26s leaned towards micro far more

just a complete misunderstanding of people making these takes, I saw so many people, including casters and content creators, calling Leviatan a ranked team, running it down out aiming everyone. Which is so untrue, their entire playstyle is so methodical and well thought out, it's such an insult to their coaching staff. someone who doesn't understand the game on more than one level will see 4 aim demons and a veteran igl, when the young players themselves barely make mistakes, sure they have good aim, but if they copied ENVY's playstyle they wouldn't make it to an international either.
