At just 19, Xan will be the youngest player on RRQ's squad. He brings in an agent pool that is likely to breathe some energy into the squad, having had experience in the Duelist role throughout his career. Since making his debut in 2021, the Malaysian has played for Enigma Gaming Enigma Gaming Inactive Divine Yeoh Chun Ting FREY Ingram Tan STYRON Tidus Goh Xan Xan Ng artn Ayrton Soh , LaZe LaZe Inactive Divine Yeoh Chun Ting lenne Lim You Xiang Lionel Tempz Pierre Heng Xan Xan Ng hyk , NAOS NAOS Inactive Papi Federico Evangelista Secre Lucas Gruenberg Yukxx Yukee Lampa Mojer Jerome Literal LoyDreaM John Loyd Tanay , and Motiv Esports Motiv Esports Asia-Pacific Rank #11 most recently. Last year with NAOS, he finished 5th-6th at Pacific Ascension. This year, he helped Motiv start the year strong by clinching the Challengers SEA Split 1 title.

He joins an RRQ squad that, after claiming its first VCT title last year at Stage 1, has lost its grip on the region. The team has been absent from the international stage through two Masters events, most recently finishing 5th-6th at Stage 1.

The Duelist role, which Xan is likely to play, has been a point of interest for RRQ as Valorant moves into an increasingly double-Duelist meta. While the technically gifted Jemkin has been the main Duelist player for the team, Monyet 's Neon has also been given the chance to shine over the years. During the Yoru-heavy meta during Kickoff, the team showed a reluctance to use the double-Duelist as often, only fielding it in five of 16 maps in the event while competing against a double-Duelist in all 16. While the team did take on more double-Duelist comps to start Stage 1, even that faded as the team entered the playoffs.

While an overall shift of roles could be on the cards for any player on the roster, Monyet's agent pool, consisting mostly of Duelists and Controllers, has the most overlap with Xan.

With Stage 2 still a few weeks away, RRQ Xan's first appearance may come at EWC, kicking off on July 3.
