Is there really any point to this game? If what purest says is true Knights are already a lock for playoffs and both NRG and Rise are out, the prize pool is the same too.

The only way Rise can make it to Playoffs is if this things happen:

OpTic loses to V1
OpTic loses to PK
Rise beats NRG

Then OpTic and Rise would be tied and Rise has the Head to Head advantage over OpTic.

But lets be realistic, i dont see a World where that happens.

This isn't the only way.

With OpTic losing to V1 yesterday, there’s 2 ways rise can qual.

OpTic losing to PK, and Rise beating NRG. This puts PK and Rise into playoffs.

Or OpTic win big against PK, and Rise wins big vs NRG. Rise would have to have a better round differential than PK, and this would put OpTic and Rise into playoffs.

H2H isn’t the tiebreaker, round differential is.

I mean, not match fixing as in getting paid for losing, but not playing their 100% so Rise gets to qualify, i am sure there is no way to prove you arent playing at 100%.

i disagree, there are a lot of teams that stream all the time and play a ton of ranked but still work really hard and get great results. The Guard is one of the hardest working teams in NA right now, and they're getting great, well-earned results, but they do stream a good bit. Trent and Sayaplayer both do twitch streams, yet they're some of NA's best. So you can definitely work hard while still streaming. Besides, I think this was just a one-game thing. Derrek really underperformed, and that's the main reason why they lost imo

i’m here to say that tsm would not have performed worse than EG, 100T, Rise, or NRG had they made it to groups. Still no excuse obviously, they choked so many times, but i’m hoping i can see them in season 2. it sucks to see teams go 1-4, hopefully they can work out their issues.
