That's not even remotely same. Those footballers in France team are mostly born and raised in France so they are as much French as any other French person. While varel is team of Korean players.

Japans tier 2 scene is very successful independently.
Thanks to that, some of the good upcoming japanese talent such as aace choose to stay and other actually good players like dep decide to go down
Lastly Japan just doesn't make a super team
You could probably make a solid team that can play for a masters spot if you took the best of zeta dfm and the top tier 2 talent in Japan
But they don't seem to do so
the sub region rules will hit the japanese t2 teams with 3 koreans hard no?
except the top t2 teams a lot of the middle ones rely on korean
some might have on bench tho r? especially ones from t3 playing t2 qualifiers since the t3 and t2 scene is quite strong in japan
maybe idk but I doubt it's a significant amount of teams and they're pbb not very good anyway so it won't change much I think
