8 TEAM MASTERS ARENT FLUKES

this year, we’ve seen the same fall off that happened to the top teams in masters 1 as we have every year, if not at an even faster pace than previously
We though that this was because masters 1 was 8 teams, yet this year it was 12, yet nothing changed
I think we need to shift this narrative about 8 team masters to kickoff masters, the first masters of a year with a quick event qualifying to it
and honestly, it makes more sense for kickoff masters to be a fluke than an 8 team masters. the real top teams of the year aren’t fully warmed up yet, and it’s harder to anti strat. not to mention if there’s a brand new meta that hasn’t been fully figured out yet. these factors would have much more of an effect than just “less teams = easier to win”
i think it’s about time this negativity around 8 team masters needs to lighten up a bit. they’re probably still a bit less entertaining, but not at all less competitive

exactly, we need to start treating every event with equality

i propose that we call every event a fluke

every international that doesn't have the best team in the world (Cloud9), is a fluke
