An Agent Concept I've finally completed.

Been working on this for a few days.

Codename: Nova
Role: Duelist
Nationality: Space

Signature Ability: Stellar core (1 charge per 2 kills, similar weight to brim/viper molly.)
EQUIP a pressurized stellar core. FIRE to throw it. It will make a loud whistling sound on it's way to the target location. Upon impact with any surface, Nova instantly teleports to that location.

Ability 1: Solar Flare (2 charges, Weight of a kay/o flash)
EQUIP a high-velocity spark. FIRE to throw that spark. After a short duration, it detonates in a spherical flash. Warping the vision of anyone looking at it, turning their screen into a swirling nebula for 1.2 seconds.

Ability 2: Singularity (1 charge, weight of a KJ molly.)
INSTANTLY throw a unstable star fragment. Upon hitting the ground, it detonates into a swirling yellow vortex for 3 seconds pulling any enemies caught in it's radius toward the center and exploding into a burst of light that vulnerables enemies for 2 seconds.

Ultmate: Cosmic tunnel (I think 7 Points is fair)
EQUIP a view of the battlefield. FIRE to Select a starting point within 10 meters of Nova's current location. FIRE again to select an end point somewhere in the map hud. Right click to create a wormhole that nova and their allies can teleport through. It is a one way trip.

I wanted to make a duelist that cannot retreat back if an entry fails. Once they're in, they're in and if they can't make anything of that entry they die. Theres no recall, no TP-ing back unless you get two kills on site and find a window to throw a teleport back to where you came from. They'll be great for faking sites since their teleport is a projectile. Players can create lineups that allow Nova to throw their Stellar Core across the map and onto other sites or into mid. This also allows for Nova to be very precise with where they entry to, being able to make a lineup to get to specific parts of the site like heaven, on top of a box, into hell, etc.
Their job is to take space and use their util to hold it down until their team can follow up.

Can i break the TP (E) mid air? Ultimate sounds trash, i honestly dont know how it will be useful. I liked the concept of ability 2, its a different version of astra pull

Tp isn't breakable, but nova has some endlag after the TP so if you can predict where it lands you can just kill them before they can find value.

Ult was supposed to be my take on a slightly more useful omen ult, I didn't want something broken like waylay's, but I also didn't want another install ult like phoenix, reyna, yoru, jett, or neon.

would you be able to do lineups or would it be like phoenix where at 20m it drops off into the ground instantly

Yeah, you can be A and throw it B if you find a lineup for it, but the downside is once it lands you don't get to back out. You TP wherever it goes.

On abyss, you can tp off the map, but again It doesn't bounce, it just Bursts and you tp. So you have to be REALLY shit in order for that to happen.

with the TP what sort of map boundaries will it function by? cuz with most throwable items in val they dont just stop at the edge of a map, but at the next wall in their path, which ofc wouldnt work if nova will TP to that collision point
i feel like it could be cool to add the phoenix molly/fade throwables mechanic of forcing it to drop after a certain distance, but still would have to add some sort of permanant map boundaries to that

no it functions the same as all types of projectiles, you can throw it off the map and completely waste it if you aren't careful.
Better get good at lineups if nova ever becomes real.

Cool idea though I think instead of lineup on his ability one he can hover his tp like omen smoke in a range and instantly teleport there but he cant move his tp through walls, so it becomes a mixture of omen tp and yoru tp

I thought about something that, but the lineup version has it's own built in downside of you don't see what's on the other side. Theres no way to retreat, no way to say nevermind after throwing it. If you throw it and you are suddenly in-between a 3 person crossfire then rest in peace. High risk High reward. They'll be great for site fakes and a solid entry (With some help.) Able to use their flash and Pull to hold the space they take and allow the team to follow them in. Plus, there aren't agents that require you know lineups except for recon initiators, and even then you can get away with not having a lot. Nova fills a playstyle that I personally really want to see in valorant. theres too much "automatic" Util, where you just press e and point to exactly where you want it.

Fair point but I will like the ability one is almost like omen ult, I dont even think people would use it to execute, he would become a character to save his ability so he can tp to the other site with his lineup if things go wrong kinda on entry . like yoru but unlike yoru he wouldnt have to wait for the tp to reach or worry about it expiring, if the site hits successful he can just play site, bait util, tp out, this all assuminng a secondary duelist is entrying for him and he is supporting with his flash , just yoru on steroids

That's kinda the direction I wanted to go in, they can either act as a secondary entry for double duelist, Be a primary entry like waylay in the beginning but assisted by teammates, OR like yoru but more situational.

That aside it is a very cool idea. My only gripe is that you can't toss the flash. Still, it's a very strong kit.

I was thinking about either being able to lob it, or a bounce mechanic where it can ricochet off a surface and pop twice as fast, but I didn't know if that was too broken or not.

Imagine you set up a 4 man A fake with your cypher solo clearing B, he gets the site, and ya'll just hit the Glorified bind TP and plant B.

Concept sounds sick ngl, I think the ult being a little weak/gimmicky would mean that it isn't played consistently in pro play maybe more used for one and done comps even though the regular kit looks pretty strong for post plant.

I played with the idea of a Meteor Storm ultimate, where meteors rained from the sky kinda like an apex legends gibby ult and stunned whoever they hit. But that felt too broken

Then I decided on the ult being like a jett/Chamber ult where Nova threw small space rocks at people and did damage but that felt unoriginal.

So I decided on a situational support ultimate to make them unique but not broken like waylay/yoru ult.

that's fair, a meteor storm ultimate would basically just be a v2 of breach ult maybe could've played around with direction/shape to make it unique but you're prolly right that a duelist having that kinda ult is broken since it would basically be what waylay ult is now just with a different effect.

I've always thought something like Wraith ult from Apex would be really cool in val and this is it.

Funny enough I actually had wraith in mind when making the ult.

Here is the original 8 point Idea that I really wish I went with in hindsight.

Ultimate: Cosmic Tunnel (8 points)

Nova overcharges their Stellar core with cosmic energy, allowing them to see where the ultimate ends. FIRE to dash forward, leaving a 1 way portal behind them that allies can follow them in with.

ok i love the signature and ult and the idea of a new kind of flash. the singularity seems way too similar to astra suck just with waylay/neon stun activation, which i dont think we need more of. id change that for a different type of area denial more in line with a kayo molly maybe themed around stars? like a pulse nade sorta thing but with an added effect

I thought of that, but I thought that a black hole would make more sense since astra is the star girl. Nova would be the celestial body person, with their abilities based around comets, black holes, wormholes, Etc.

Yeah instant throws are a bit broken on the agents that have them, but I feel this would be different considering it doesn't really stun or disorient in any way, it's balanced.

I think they'll be a waylay situation.
They look shit at the start, but I think they're just gonna have a different playstyle. You'll need lineups to use them properly but when you learn them you can pretty much go from anywhere on the map to anything else with a signature. Imagine a duelist that can just APPEAR on top of the big box on haven a site. Trips won't affect them as much But they HAVE to commit to what they do once they press throw, so if you have no intel you could still be TPing into a 3 stack at the end of your lineup, it's pretty loud too so you have to time it right and be certain about where you're going.

I think they'll be good, just require high skill.

yeah I tried to balance it out with the signature and ult, Once the signature lands, you're right where it lands. THeres no charge, no waiting for it to land and clicking it again, once you throw it you're teleported right where it lands whether you like it or not. I also tried to make the ult something along the lines of omen, great character with a pretty lackluster and situational ult.

ngl i feel like this duelist is more of an initiator, especially considering the sound reveal or whatever would maybe allow for non Scan ini like soba or fade and you could go like solo ini like kayo or in some crazy world no ini

They don't have a reveal, the whistling sound is the teleport traveling through the air which tells enemies that it's coming.
