The same point can be used about FPX not having their full roster at Masters Reykjavik 2022, but FPX actually won the tournament after Reykjavik while G2 got 7th-8th after EWC.
They placed 2nd at bangkok and 4th at toronto which was only a month before EWC, there is definitely a world where they could have won especially because leaf was their 2nd best player after trent that year. I agree with you about the FPX thing, but counting G2's placement after EWC to justify anything makes no sense

No one counts EWC as a legitimate trophy, just a cool cashgrab. It's not part of the VCT circuit (not organized by Riot).
That doesnt mean anything. It is an S-Tier tournament that all teams know about a year in advance and consider in their year schedule.
if you wanna say "1000 days with EMEA not having a trophy", then you should specify with "VCT" trophy. However, EMEA has shown that they are still very relevant with the EWC trophy and 4 2nd places.

Conclusion/TLDR: EWC is clearly better than Sao Paulo, Madrid, and Bangkok. If you do not count EWC, then say that you also do not count those 3 tournaments.
