I'm building a new pc for gfx and light vid editing work (i have a mid end laptop currently) and some valorant and cs2.
I really have 2 options rn,
Go for an apu chip + no gpu for now ; or
Go for rtx 2060 + r5 5600 build
Opinions?

2060 still works really fine but if you can afford by adding a little more try to get 3060 or 3070 would be better
I'm investing heavily on ram rn that's the prob for me. Like I'm going for 8*4 ddr4. Adobe Creative Suite is such a ram eater
if possible i would go for a 3070, 8 gb of vram should be enough for what you want to do
Don't let the tryhards tell you that only the 5090 is good and everything else is garbage now
Yes and no
No it isnt a "good" gpu anymore and you will run into bottlenecks along the line
But its absolutely fine especially for your use cases
Main issues youll have is if you go for the big current triple A games, play more recent games at higher resolutions/frame rates or do "real" workstation tasks (realistically your job should supply you with a server to remote into for those anyways though)
My own gaming pc went from a 3080 -> 2070 Super -> 1080Ti as I kept gutting it for parts, so older hardware is MORE than sufficient for most games imo
For how much u getting the RTX 2060. U can get good used gpu in nehru place
I think yeah, i have 1660 ti with r5 1600 and its still doing good. Mostly i used them in blender, video editing and of course gaming
