FUT Esports has benched Baha "baha" Gözmen, and brought longtime player Doğukan "qRaxs" Balaban back into the starting lineup. baha shared that, while he is still under contract, he has been allowed to explore options with other teams.
The moves, pending approval by Riot, come three days after FUT's elimination from VCT EMEA Kickoff, where the Turkish squad went 0-3 in three matches to finish 11th-12th.
Through those matches, baha, a former Papara SuperMassive player who was signed this past offseason, primarily played the Controller role for FUT. He had the lowest rating of all players at Kickoff at the time of his dropping, and will be replaced by a familiar face for those familiar with FUT.
In December, qRaxs announced his intentions to take a break during the 2026 season. Having been a central figure in the roster since the 2021 season, qRaxs has been most well-known for his play as an Initiator while wearing the FUT jersey, which could mean role changes for the FUT agent pool ahead of EMEA Stage 1.
