Z1yan joined JDG midway through the 2024 season, making his VCT debut at China Stage 2. He mainly played as the team's Controller player, but also flexed into the Initiator and Sentinel roles at times. JDG retained him entering 2025, and while he still played the occasional map on Controller, he was transitioned mostly into the Sentinel role.

While JDG and Z1yan reached the playoffs in regional play last year, disappointing results in all three phases of play in 2025 meant the team finished far below expectations, claiming just two Championship points — the lowest mark in the region. Since the start of the offseason, JDG has overhauled its roster, parting ways with Babyblue , and bringing in zhe , Yuicaw , and coconut to fit the vision of new head coach bail .

Rare Atom may finally have the chance to compete against the best teams in China, and bring in a player with VCT experience in Z1yan.

A new-look JDG will open its 2026 season at China Kickoff, facing off against Titan Esports Club Titan Esports Club China Rank #15 Haodong Guo Haodong (郭浩东) lucas Yunkun Lu (路昀昆) Abo Han Bohao (韩博皓) Coco Ding Dajian (丁达建) in the opening round for a shot to take on Dragon Ranger Gaming.
