Like I know people call him short and like he ruined Europe for 2 decades, but he was actually average height and he personally gave rise to many advancements through the Napoleonic Code, so why the hate?

Ah, that Wikipedia article on his dinga ling, I mean, he wouldn't have been able to have affairs with so many women if he had one
I mean, I don't hear Josephine or Marie Louise or Marie Walewska saying anything about his genitals
because once again he's the most powerful man in europe if you slander him you're fucked
I mean, Marie Louise and Walewska lived longer than him, so they could've said something about it
reported for ts
do not diss napoleon aka the emperor aka the aura farmer aka hannibal superior aka mr strat genious
Ikr, it's always women who seem to judge men's genitals 😔
And it's always about it's size 💔🥀
it was the only thing i remembered from the movie. and maybe he got hate because of it
wait really? even people in old time judge smh😔
im sorry for being mean if thats the case
yea it was heavily insinuated, and people have always judged others bodies.
Btw, the movie was probably the worst representation of History yet from a movie, so don't count on the movie being a reliable source
Btw Poggpigg, what do you think about Lixian, the Portuguese editor for Market Pliers
i dont watch market plier, but i know that youre so portuguese clip and i think its funny
26yo
conqueroed europe with messed up country after the revolution
became emperor
he literally did the dirk nowitzki 2011 playoff run i think hes better than caesar
Bro, you could literally argue that he was more Italian than French
he was pretty similar to ceaser except he was not hated by the entire continent
The French loved him, Russians didn't really hate him until 1812, Prussian were divided until 1806, Spanish until 1808, and even then, Suchet ensured that Aragon didn't hate Napoleon
no not entirely the french loved him only those whose views were aligned to his and after waging so many wars whos gonna like him
Ofc there were some royalists that didn't like him, but his victories and the fact that it WASNT HIM who started the majority of these wars helped cement his popularity
well he was a revolutionary leader but laws he implemented for the betterment of france were quite harsh and also he kinda destroyed their culture with strict civil laws leading to other nations criticizing him
But the Republic wouldn't have lasted long anyway.
Better in the hands of a competent person
the russians didn't hate him until the famous lake inchident
there is a painting of napolean and alexander kissing
Yes ik, at Tilsit, but I would say it's more at the invasion in 1812
cuz he made war to half the countries of Europe which isn't particularly cool (especially considering he would win the large majority of his battles) and sent half the french youth to die.
Also instigated a form of government and political culture that has been kind of a problem for a lot of French
Also he was shit in bed
He did not make war with half of Europe, it's rather that Europe, particularly Britain, made war with him, I mean sure, the Peninsular War, Invasion of Russia was started by him, but the rest were pretty much started by the Coalition
But his form of government was def better than the Bourbons
britain didn't even fight much themselves
just sponsored half of europe to fight
Ye
I didn't know you knew this much on Napoleon ngl
The only contributions made by the British was Trafalgar, Wellington's campaign in Spain, and the congreve rockets which were used in the Battle of Leipzig, apart from their money ofc
You could argue that Britain was worse in this regard, constantly causing wars
pretty much all i do on my free time or when i am bored is analyzing f1 cars and research history
How do you research History, what sources or websites or videos do you use?
Like for Napoleon, I watched Epic History TV's documentaries on Napoleon
my family has a very VERY big library
it has multiple sources on every part of history
Bruh Napoleon was definitely a very belligerant man himself. No need to try and diminish that. The whole goal of the "Empire" was literally to expand as much as possible.
Also being better than the monarchy isn't very difficult, but he betrayed the revolution in many aspects
honestly, england at that time was far more despicable. they screwed over the rest of the world, screwed over the rest of europe, and screwed over 99.9% of their own population.
also spent lots of money to get the European powers to fight Napoleon
Bro, Napoleon cannot be compared to Genghis, he's like an angel compared to Genghis
The only good thing he did was the napoleonic code
But that doesnt excuse the narcissism, selfishness, megalomanism, making life worse for women, and constantly going to war and getting people killed.
in 4 out of the 5 coalitions, the rest of europe declared war on france ???
"selfishness" ?? "megalomanism" ??
yes he did scale back on women's rights and that's a fair point
Did you miss him declaring himself emperor, crowning himself, his endless thirst for expansion rather than stabilizing France, dynastic ambitions, him glorifying every thing he did in newspapers and other media to make himself look like a hero are all megalomanic traits.
Also, he was very selfish, he refused to step down even when defeat was almost certain instead of negotiating, he abandoned revolutionary ideals that he claimed he would protect by undermining it by limiting freedoms, censoring the press, and ruling as an autocrat, he abandoned his men in Egypt, he invaded Russia in 1812 to largely assert dominance even though it was risky. You can argue that his earlier years he was not like this but by the end he very much was.
He improved civil rights tho in some ways
Like abolishing the Spanish Inquisition
Generational upcoming igl that mains chamber
He peaked Radiant #1
because it was after french revolution and monarchy was just overthrown and he comes reinstates it apply huge censorship and taxes (totally against the liberal mindset at that time). also the British were his enemy as he did not wanted to trade with them
He was better than the Bourbons tho
You can't blame him, the British were financing every war against him
Everyone just watch oversimplified, thats enough to learn about napoleon
didnt he like roll back loads of the womens rights from the french revolution?
yes.... he forced a more patriarchal society
but he did emancipate Jews and other minorities
u could probably point out the pros and cons of most historical ppl in this way. when in reality they were all kinda bad ppl
thats not to mention that we still have a lot of these kinds of people in society still
he saved france no? no reason to hate bro
he did go off the deep end tho but he’s allg it’s outweighed by the save of the century
He did save France, but he pretty much gambled it all away, the Coalition offered a favourable peace deal where he would keep most of his land in 1813, before the battle of Leipzig
Lol when did this came into existence prolly I missed during my week break
dont know much about dudes history but at some point in his life he went exiled in an island and when he comeback to france people worship him or some like that? lil man had charisma
He managed to reconcile with the marshal that was sent to capture him and use his army to recapture France from the Bourbons
He was so popular with the soldiers that the soldiers didn't want to shoot him
But 4 out of 5 coalition wars were started by Great Britain and the other European powers, you can't really blame him for that
Got a whole era of “napoleonic wars” buddy i am gonna blame that genocidal midget 10/10 times
genocidal
0/8, he did not target and kill any groups of people en masse.
At least be grateful that Napoleon was dealing with the entire British army and navy in Europe
The USA would've been pulverised in the war in 1812 if not for Napoleon, and yall would prolly be living under the British
Don't forget that Napoleon also sold Louisiana to the Americans, effectively doubling the territory of the USA.
Think before you speak.
USA would've taken the land anyway lol manifest destiny
also good job avoiding "napoleonic wars". Little midget killed millions. World would've been better if napoleon was never born
0/8
USA wouldn't have taken the land anyway, Spain was there and could've defended it anyways.
Also good job on avoiding 'War of 1812', America has killed billions. World would've been better if America never existed
