People act like necroposting is some kind of war crime, but honestly it’s one of the best things for the site. Old threads don’t magically stop being relevant just because time passed, and reviving them keeps discussions organized instead of creating ten duplicate threads about the same thing. It brings back forgotten moments, lets new users see old takes, and adds context that only time can provide. If VLR didn’t want necroposting, threads should auto-lock like on other forums, but they don’t, which basically means it’s fair game, and mods don't tell us we shouldn't do it. In fact, mods don't even show up. So WE should make our OWN rules. Necroposting keeps the site alive, keeps conversations flowing, and stops good discussions from getting buried forever. It’s literally a public service. Just imagine not being able to remember the worst FNS game (not that hard to find) just because of this stupid rule. Now mods, if you ban me, you'll be publicly announcing we have no FREEDOM OF SPEECH. So don't prove my point, this is my 100% correct take on necroposting. We should just do it more often. Peace out.
