Ascension 2024 was a ploy by Riot to appease Brazilian fans by making it seem like their tier 2 teams are actually good. By rigging the Americas qualifiers and sending fraudulent NA teams to the tournament a horrible team such as 2Game Esports was able to ascend to tier 1.
Do you really think that a team such as OXG with Skuba, Reduxx, Verno and Bonkar or MxS with players like Mada, V1c and Brawk would’ve lost to some 2Game Esports? Instead of such great teams Riot with their shitty format decided they’d rather send fraudulent teams like M80 and TSM to the tournament just to rig it in favor of Brazil.
