I find it super interesting how the representation of the bracket changes perception so much

Cause I fully agree - it feels really bad to have these playoff games being bo1
But thinking back to last year the Main Event was split into swiss (basically what we're in rn) and then an actual single elim playoff (starting at the upper/lower finals this year)

And that felt fine

There is practically no difference between this format and last years in terms of amount of games played (+1 by adding a lower finals) and how teams get eliminated after losing 2 bo1s early on... and yet, somehow, the better format feels worse
