Veqaj's stint with the Mates was his debut at the VCT level, and was preceded by a long run in the Challengers level. He most recently played for Team Valiant Team Valiant Europe Rank #36 wackie Rikardo Birjukov hAwksinho Sulaimane Kabous Anq Ilya Matyash Jady Yaroslav Nikolaev roxie Povilas Krivelis , competing as the team's go-to Duelist in its run to being crowned champions in Split 2 of the French Challengers circuit. He finished with the fourth-highest rating in the playoffs, the highest ACS, and was named the MVP of the stage. With Veqaj in the squad, Gentle Mates went 0-5 in Stage 2 to finish their regular season. He played as an Initiator through all five games. The team's placement meant the team, alongside fellow Ascension squad Apeks Apeks Inactive , will be relegated back down to the Challengers level.

In Veqaj, FNATIC is hoping to find a player to replace Chronicle while also introducing some flexibility into the team's comps. Being a former Duelist player, Veqaj can complement kaajak 's efforts on the role, while Sentinel player Alfajer can also do so. He can also combine efforts with veteran crashies in double-Initiator comps, though Chronicle's flexibility as a secondary Controller or Sentinel will not be like-for-like replacements with Veqaj.

FNATIC's 2025 season was up and down. An early elimination at EMEA Kickoff saw the team miss out on the first Masters event of the year, but a return to the status quo in Stage 1 saw FNATIC reclaim its spot atop the regional throne and storm into Masters Toronto having won eight of its last nine. After bypassing the Swiss Stage, FNATIC was one of four regional champs to be sent into the lower bracket in the first round of the playoffs, which was followed by a string of four straight victories to get FNATIC to its first international grand final since Masters Tokyo. FNATIC is expected to have a quiet rest of the offseason, with the aforementioned Chronicle exit and assistant coach d00mbr0s 's departure the only other moves it has made.
