Gentle Mates earned their way into VCT by winning EMEA Ascension in 2023. In their debut season at the top level, the Mates went 3-7 across both phases of regional play, placing them at 10th out of 11 teams. Knowing a strong 2025 was needed to extend its stay in VCT, Gentle Mates started the year off stronger, finishing 7th-8th at EMEA Kickoff. With an ever-evolving roster, the team kicked off Stage 1 with a win over Kickoff runner-ups
