Guess my health problem (Im bored and its offseason)
Around 5 years ago i have this weird "illness" idk what's the right word. I cant move my body.
-It start with my legs feeling heavy over time it gets heavier until i cant stand, followed by vomiting atleast 2/day, dizziness and stress like i never had before (considered ending it a couple of times)
First 2 years was the worst level of this illness, I cant move my body, barely able to lift my arms (i cant hold a pillow just to paint a picture),vomited every meals i consumed, and the worse stress and dizziness I have ever experienced. This happened 1/40ish days
Year 3 and 4 is aight, I just cant move my legs and heavyness on my arms, vomit 2 out of 3 meal, dizzy and stress. Every 1/70ish days (finally able to attend college👍)
Year 5 till now is bad and good in some way. Most of the times couldnt stand with the rest im able to stand but using elevated platform and putting the weight on my knees because my knees can bend backward a lil (fell a couple of times because forced myself due to hating the feeling of helplessness). Sometimes twice to thrice a month (taking gap year from college 👎 but the effects of this illness lessen so kinda👍. More frequent but lessen effects)
-I got checked the very first day i got this illness on a small hospital, they just say that Im making this up when my father literally carried me to the hospital bed, he was not happy with the given answer no angry yelling just pick me back up to the car.
Second time on a larger hospital (Bone and nerves specialist): cant really tell what's wrong just recommend drinking milk
Third time: they don't know what's wrong with my legs again and they discovered that i have Grave disease (forgot the actual name remembered that part because its a funny name for a non critical disease).
Edit: some typos and incomplete sentences. The amount of mistake on this shit baffled me.

You sound like you have a mild form of some degenerative disease coupled with a deficiency of something, what's the actual name of it I tried googling the name you gave and another thing came up.

Oh the grave disease doesnt really have anything to do with my legs problem. They just discovered that shit while doing some test. Edit: Ig im wrong about this.

I asked an AI about your symptoms and you might either have Periodic Paralysis, Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS), Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), or that your Graves' Disease is causing Thyrotoxic Periodic Paralysis (TPP).

Is it an electrolyte or metabolic issue? One of my friends had the same problem in the past, but I'm not in touch with him anymore.

The thing is idk myself and only recently know what it might be (don't know why i didnt just ask ai about this for the last 3 years).

AI is not a real doctor! As someone in this field, I can confidently say that it's far better to consult several specialists and top doctors about your health issues.

As much as I despise AI, it gave the same possible diagnosis in one of its options for a disease someone I know has that they only got the diagnosis for (which isn't even a final one) after going to 3 different specialists.

Not saying I'm against professionals, but in certain places you need to know the good ones because good specialists aren't distributed evenly. Not everyone has access to them.

I understand what you’re saying, and it’s impressive that AI picked up on that possibility. But here’s the thing, your health isn’t a guessing game.
AI can throw out options, but it can’t feel a pulse, look into your eyes, or notice the small details that make the difference between life and death. A good doctor isn’t just a checklist; they carry years of experience, responsibility, and empathy for their patients. That’s something no algorithm can ever replace.
AI might point in a direction, but only a real doctor can truly stand by you when your life is on the line.

I agree, but to reiterate your point, a good doctor. If you've lived in an area with little to no specialists, or have came across multiple horrible doctors, you'll understand why some people are against modern medicine. Being a doctor is commercialized in a lot of places these days so they'll mostly look for profit.

Can you imagine how OP must've felt when a doctor said they were faking their disease?

You’re right, not every doctor is good, and in some places, the system is broken or overly commercialized. That’s a real problem, and it’s why people lose trust. But that’s also exactly why we need strong, accountable human doctors, not fewer of them. A bad doctor can fail you, but an AI has no accountability at all. At least with doctors, you can seek a second opinion, hold them responsible, or push for better training and standards. AI can help as a tool, but it can’t replace the human responsibility, ethics, and real-world expertise that medicine demands.

Yes, but again, if you've lived in a place where doctors have zero accountability, where the hospitals cover them up, where the patients can't even afford to sue them, you'd understand. You'll know once you see how broken it is in some places.

I hear you, some systems are broken, and that’s heartbreaking. But if AI fails you, there’s no face, no heart, no one to fight back against. At least with real doctors, there’s still humanity and the possibility of change.

Well out of the three hospital visit, the first one said your son is faking it(general), you need to drink more milk (Bone and nerves specialist) and you have irregular heartbeat and grave disease we don't know about the legs thing(general). *Im paraphrashing it
Not to diss any medical practitioner but the ai answer does give a spesific answer that i can bring up on my next visit to get clearer answer from the doctor.

I know it’s frustrating to hear different opinions, but that’s because real doctors are being careful with your health. AI may sound specific, but it doesn’t know you, can’t examine, and won’t take responsibility if it’s wrong. Doctors might disagree at first, but they’ll keep looking until they find the truth. AI can’t do that.

Well thanks folks for the replys, for now i think theres a high possibility that i have Thyrotoxic Periodic Paralysis, i have irregular heartbeat and grave disease (what the doctor said during my third trip to the hospital) & other small sympthoms (hand tremors, Excessive sweating etc) and out of all the possible diagnostic TPP have most of my sympthoms. Off course i still need to check the other possibility.
