if anything ethan is overrated, most people think he's now in the goat debate and a top 5 players. Would u agree with the majority thats he's top 5?
could be wrong bc so many ppl have recency bias but i see so many posts putting ethan top 5
he used to be massively underrated, after winning champs he's starting to get more properly rated but theres still so many stat stevens who refuse to recognize how impressive his util usage + midrounding/IGLing has been, not to mention how consistently good he's performed regardless of what team he's on

he’s been their most consistent player this season and most of the time he gets shit from everyone. he may have a smaller agent pool but hes still the best raze and he flexes onto omen and sage occasionally
the smaller agent pool really hurts, not to mention i feel like he's been outshined by everyone else on prx this year yet still gets way too much glaze for how he actually has performed the past couple years
does he still get glaze anymore? it’s either j0ngg threads dogpiling on him or it’s f0rsaken and something glaze threads. he was their best player in stage 1 yet i haven’t seen him get appreciated as much as the other players
its not like prx actually need a real agent pool from him, his omen isn't that bad and in many games he's the highest rated on the team. plus its hard to stand out when prx has probably individually one of the best teams in the world when they're all firing (behind fnc prolly)
The problem with Ethan is that he's not consistent through his career. I know he got 2 champs but where was he for the last 2 years or where was he befor EG had a champs run? 2 GREAT and I mean GREAT runs doesn't make you the best player. I'd put him as properly rated.

he is legit super consistent. always the mvp on his teams (sen and xset) who both have been very successful
mvping on s0n means nothing with 3 people playing with their monitors off every map

he is honestly a desirable player to have on any roster rn IMO even if he isn't IGLing
the IGLing is what pushes him over the good player line into super valuable territory

nah valyn is lowkey underrated, hes def one of the better igls for sure
Valyn is really good at IGL-ing. Coaching staff probably helps but G2/Guard have a really good handle on map control, hiding what their intention is, and conditioning.

I put nAts in properly because I didn't know who to put but I always disagreed with Patmen being ROTY because there were always more impactful rookies. Like don't get me wrong he's not a bad player but nobody would be saying he was ROTY if PRX didn't win Toronto and whilst yes he was a part of their victory, he really wasn't the determining factor imo.

In a way, the best impact Patmen had on the team was allowing the team to play comps that didn't have a hard requirement for mindfreak to ONLY play Omen, enabling them to play more diverse comps..
Also, while yes PRX winning Toronto is a big reason why people (me) think he's ROTY material.. it isn't fair to say the equivalent of "if (Team) didn't achieve (Milestone), (Player) wouldn't be considered to be one of the best"
I would think that there are very very few cases where the "best" players who tend to be in discussions are from non-performing teams.
