C9 vs NRG

All or nothing match for champs, who wins?

We all know SEN & G2 will be making it. Furthermore, it’s pretty safe to say that of the remaining teams, the following are the biggest candidates for making it to Paris: C9, NRG, 100T, LEV, and KRU.

Honestly, C9 & NRG are good enough to be placed in a tier above the rest of the teams listed.

With all this being said, upsets are bound to happen, and I truly believe that both of these teams cannot coexist in Paris. (Just a hunch and we know how upsets go)

Under this strange hypothetical I’ve presented, it’s given us the opportunity to theorize and craft ideas around what their match could look like.

I like NRG more, but I really want C9 to make an international. I think they’re the type of team that would thrive against worldwide talent. They already have a lack of recognition in Americas (SEN owns them and they can never upset). I think that draws less emphasis away from them as a team, meaning other orgs aren’t looking at them as potential threat for Paris.

All these variables leave them as a dark horse if they make champs.

The question is, can they even make it that far…

NRG 26-7 C9 (7 rounds won by oxy and v1c), and there is no way that you are saying that C9 is miles better than the rest alongside NRG, when C9 just beat EG, Furia with Urangoat, and 2G.
