November: Asian Valorant News for Pre-Champions

hello! before champions begins, i'd like to make a new update on what has been going on currently in asian valorant during the month of november

VCT

  • JP: CR Minty will not be participating in Champions, stating in a Twitter post, saying it was due in part to "communication issues between Korea & Japan." Neth has also put a statement about Minty's points
  • KR: Vision Strikers have been bootcamping the 11th in Berlin, with several people pointing out their scrim performance
  • SEA/PHP: As of today, the 20th, Team Secret are currently out on their way to Berlin for bootcamp & Champions preparation
  • SEA/TH: X10 CRIT have arrived in Berlin
  • SEA/TH: Full Sense have arrived in Berlin
  • JP: Crazy Raccoon is currently flying to Berlin

Champions Matches

  • Vision Strikers will be playing Full Sense in the first round of Champions (12/1)
  • Crazy Raccoon will be playing Team Vikings (12/1)
  • X10 will be playing Envy (12/3)
  • Team Secret will be playing Gambit (12/2)

Tournaments

  • FiveK along with other SEA, Korean, and Japanese streamers have been invited to the Undercity Nights Riot tournament and are playing Valorant alongside various games
  • KR: Korea has concluded the National ShotVal Pride tournament, with TNL Esports winning 3-2 against VVS
  • SEA: The Royal SEA Challenge has concluded, with the debut of the new Boom Esports roster winning 3-0 against South Built Esports
  • IDN: The Valorant Arena Showdown has concluded, with ONIC G taking a 3-1 win against Boom Esports
  • SG/MY: Louvre has won the Bleed eSports Community Tournament, winning 2-0 against Bleed
  • PHP: The Mineski VxV Invitational has concluded, with South Built Esports winning 3-0 over Team Secret
  • VN: The Synnex FPT Gaming Tournament is currently ongoing, with CERBERUS soon to face the lower bracket final winner
  • SA: Velocity Gaming has won the Amazon Great Indian Festival in a 3-1 against Enigma Gaming
  • SA: The Esports Club Showdown is ongoing, with all South Asian teams playing in the lower bracket. Currently, Team Exploit has won 2-0 Exceeli in the lower bracket
  • SA: The Esports Club Season 3 is ongoing, with the group stage currently going on until the 23rd with playoffs to follow
  • SA: With more teams to join, the WD Black Cup Season 2 has been announced, with notably GE and VLT joining
  • JP: ZETA DIVISION have announced their organization of the LIMITZ All-Stat Tournament, featuring a public nomination system of VCT Japan pros to compete

SEA:

  • TH: X10 have partnered with Bruneian org CRIT Esports to become X10 CRIT
  • VN: Rednaval has joined CERBERUS and has left BAAM
  • VN/PHP: crazyguy has joined Nigma Galaxy and has left BAAM
  • PHP/SG: ZesBeeW will continue to act as a stand-in for Nigma Galaxy until an official 5th has been found
  • PHP: Flash is seeking new opportunities from Zeals
  • PHP: Maark has left Oasis Gaming
  • IDN: Eeyore and Asteriskk have left BOOM Esports
  • TH: Team NKT have joined Valorant with a full Thai roster

  • Multiple new orgs are planning to enter Valorant, ranging from LCK, Overwatch, and Dota
  • Solo has retired and has left NUTURN, is looking to continue as a coach
  • NU Suggest has revealed he will not be playing in VCT 2022 in Korea
  • Hyeoni has left NUTURN, this leaves only Peri (Supposedly now a NUTURN co-owner) as their roster
  • Spear Gaming has seemingly ended their trial period after playing the National ShotVal tournament, all trialed players are LFT
  • HSK has finished military service and is looking to join a Valorant team
  • kAyle has retired from PUBG following T1’s roster release, has joined Valorant
  • Alpha Six Gaming is looking for new players for VCT 2022
  • Straight Warfare is looking for new players for VCT 2022
  • BE INFAMOUS has been signed by Warriors Esports, who manages the New Zealand Warriors in the NRL
  • Agnes has left Alpha Six Gaming
  • NakJi and WIX have joined Maru Gaming

Japan:

  • Minty will not participate in Champions
  • ZETA DIVISION has organized the LIMITZ tournament, with anyone being able to nominate a list of VCT Japan pro players to play in the tournament
  • Kaminari and SamuraiDeeper have left Reject
  • Setouchi Enlife have released their roster and have signed 3 new players
  • Insomnia will be back for the 2022 VCT with a new roster and is currently looking for players
  • FIRST Gaming have signed a new roster
  • Serpens Stella has joined Valorant
  • Cuda has left X DIVISION Gaming
  • EVA:e has signed Rico and arm1e

South Asia:

  • ID: Global Esports have returned from vacation following the APAC LCQ and are now participating in tournaments once again
  • PK: DarKkKy and Khaushi have left Team Exploit

Must be really tough for Minty, but it is understandable since the language barrier was one of the problems that holding back CR in terms of developing their teamwork & comms.
