It will be even bigger because of how Valve treats Asia!

valve doesn't treat asia in any worse way than any other region. Slots for the major depend on the way the teams perform during the last major. So now Asia has 1 slot in stage 2, 2 slots in stage 3 I believe. That means it's 3 more slots

thats literally worse. since at the beginning of cs 1.6 all the orgs in europe developed way earlier so europe had the best start and of course they would perform better

OK, what would happen if valve gave equal rights? Game wouldn't be as fundamentally loved across all of europe, and asian teams still would lack because they don't have the same practice space as european teams? It's not val where every single region got the brand new game at the same time (except China). Valve does it in the best way, natural growth. Mongolz grinded their way to the top, became the first team, they pracced with Lynn Vision and Tyloo the most, hence why Lynn vision are in stage 3, and tyloo are in stage 2. Both LV and Tyloo now have enough points in the VRS to get the same experience Mongolz have, meaning they will get better. What happens after that? Other asian teams get better! Wanna know the reason why NA died and doesn't look good? Because none of their fucking teams were brave enough to do what mongolz did. I don't wanna hear no tenz or twistzz talk about how it's hard to go pro in NA CS when 5 random fucking kids from Mongolia pracced EU teams with 160 ping, then grinded tier 2-3 events to get enough VRS points to then get invited for S-tier events. look at their ranking! https://www.hltv.org/team/6248/the-mongolz Ever since this starting five got together, they were on a steady growth ever since. Copenhagen 2024 - top 16. Shanghai - Top 8. Austin - Top 4 MINIMUM.

Valve doesnt do natural growth lmao, they are lazyfucks who let private company like ESL & PGL run and rule the entire system. Mongolz is an anomaly, they practice in european faceit after they reached their goal to get a spot in the tournament. They have the consistency, something what chinese teams are lacking.
You need to realize that events & pug ecosystem is the most important thing to keep a region competitive. T2 asia is dead, if pros wants to keep up with the top they need to play pugs in european server, this is the same thing happened with NA.

ESL, BLAST and any other T1 TO is forced to send out invites to the teams you want, you need to follow strict guidelines. Any team can farm enough VRS points to get into this prized tier 1 section. And let's see who riped the benefits of these fruits? Tyloo and Lynn Vision, who outplayed their european and american peers? Legacy who went on a miracle run? NiP who grinded the shit out of tier 2? Fnatic who did the same shit? ECSTATIC and ENCE who guess what also grinded! Lynn Vision and Tyloo then come to Asia where they have a target on their backs because beating them gives you VRS Points and puts you closer to tier 1 events!

the thing is to climb up the HLTV & ESL ranking you need to crawl from the bottom to top, and european orgs who always stays on the ranking can change their roster whatever they want and their ranking is still the same. It's a bad system for lesser regions that dont have any events inside their own region.
If noname orgs in europe try to crawl from bottom, they always change their roster to the players that once in the ranking. It's a neverending cycle of the strong who prey the weak. The stronger gets stronger, the weaker gets weaker

the ranking is stuck to your core, you can't just do -5 +5, you are limited to 2 roster changes max, and you lost a shit ton of points if you do that

you can keep 2/3 people and run one tournament and the team rankings is still attached. thats literally what falcons do

no it doesn't, you need to have 3 people for a core, it's just that their new core of teses-kyxsan-magisk-niko played enough to get points for S tier invites

T2 Asian cs is actually more alive than ever rn, unfortunately it came just a little too late. But we're getting way more tourneys and big LANs than ever before, Asia is the undisputed #2 region over NA now, and VRS is actually helping Asia more than any other region (as all the LANs in Asia just get farmed by Asian teams giving them enough points to play in T1 tourneys in EU and actually get good practice in)

back in 2017 it had way more events such as extremeland, zen esports, etc. idk what about now i hope private company organizer make more events like this

Extremesland still running 1 big event a year, XSE and Hero Esports in China, and MESA in Mongolia are carrying Asian CS right now. Unfortunately SEA is totally cooked and OCE only has Dfrag running small events here and there but its semi consistent in OCE at least

Obviously ESL/ESEA still running online Challenger leagues the entire time but no LANs in Asia from them
